I think the role show be open to both sexes , Maleshep has been the dominate promotional figure so far , But I think both sexes should get a fair share =) !

I'm half-hoping this thread is still open when I get home from work so I can try and figure out what mental disorder some of you suffer from. But on the other hand, this topic no longer deserves to live.



Why can't people have reasonable discussions anymore? It's all a giant dick-measuring contest now. Dammit.

Well  "women are objects to be oggled"  is a very sterotypical l view.

As a dude, again, of course I like looking at good looking females, who wouldnt. Same as girls like looking at good looking guys. However the POV that says the only way to make it big in the movie industry, or be good in an action movie is either be a guy or have big boobs. Thats what disgusts me. 

And its the interwebs, since the first day it came out its always been about dick size sadly. OMG look how badass I am because I can hide in annonimity. All that BS. I would like to see this OP say this to one of my female friends. She would tear him a new one:wizard:

I can say with complete certainty that it will be male Shepard. And of course the movie will involve Shepard. They would be ignoring the best part of the story without Shepard and his experiences with Saren and the Reapers.



As far as a "canon forced upon us" that isn't possible. No matter what people try to say, the game itself is canon. What happens in the game is what happened. Any reimagining is just a different universe and can never change the canon that is solidified in mass effect 1 and 2.

Femshep for me. A lot of people think male shep's better because sounding like a plank of wood is what a marine is apparently supposed to sound like. I think most people get that already, but Shepard is more than just a marine - (s)he is also a charismatic leader. This is only one of the most important themes in the entire series (and a recurring one in a lot of Bioware RPG's). I think Hale understood that better than Meer, so if they kept all the voice actors, then definitely female shepard...Besides I like the idea of a female saviour - eat that religion.

Honestly I think the movie would be best with a female lead. I also think it would be best if Shepard was not the star of the movie the, Mass Effect Universe is huge why just do a retread of the game. An original script set in the Mass effect mythos would work much better then trying to cram 20 hours of story in to 2 hours or less of screen time

No Shepard in the movie!



I still say Anderson should be the protagonist and the story be based off of the Revelation novel. To people who say that won't be as appealing to the general audience, as long it is well written and has lots of action scenes then it doesn't matter what the story is based off of.

Shepard shuld be in the movie becaus its a movie about mass effect 1. noone wants to see a movie about some stupid other character!

And also female shepard would be cool if she looked hot but my shepard is man shepard and thats why i want a man shepard in the movie!!!
