See/Modify Area Tag? [SOLVED]

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there is a way to see/modify an area's tag? Because it does not show up in the area's Object Inspector window.

This is what happened: I have a set of areas (house - exterior, interior, basement) that the plater visits twice in my module. The layout of the areas are all the same, and all of the doors should lead to the same places (ie. basement door leads to basement in both cases). What is different are the NPCs and such that are in the areas.

Looking at what BioWare did for the Single Player campaign (looking at Orzammar, because you see it once during the Dwarf Commoner Origin and once during the main campaign) I saw that they made two seperate areas using the same layout. I decided to do this in my case as well, although I thought I would be smart about it. Because all of the doors lead to the same places in both cases (as stated above), I decided to make one set of areas, set up all of the transitions, put them in an area list, then duplicate them.

The duplication went fine, and I renamed the duplicated area resources to something else (ex: house2). Now what I forgot to do was change the area lists, which led me to find this problem in the first place.

So I started to run around the first house to test the transitions, and I noticed that the basement door took me to the wrong waypoint. So I went back into the toolset and moved the waypoint to where it was supposed to go (only in the first house area), exported, and went back in, only to find that I was still getting teleported to the same old spot.

Baffled, I tried almost everything to fix it, from making new waypoints to entirely redoing the transitions so they took me to different spots so I could at least see that what I was doing had an effect, but nothing worked. This is when I realized that the first and second houses were in the same area lists.

"That shouldn't be a problem" I thought, "because I changed the tag of the second house areas." Then I realized that I changed the Resource Name and the Name, not the Tag. As a last ditch attempt at fixing the problem i deleted the second set of house areas, and when I started playing again all of the changes I had made started working.

The problem, as far as I can tell, is that because the Tags of the Areas were the same, I was getting transitioned to the wrong basement, the one I wasn't making changes to. So I'm back to my original question: is there a way to see/modify an area's tag?

EDIT: I just realized something. What if DoAreaTransition doesn't jump the player to the Waypoint Object, but rather to the Waypoint's Location? If this is the case then my module would have been jumping the player to the right area, but the wrong location (because it found the other waypoint's location first). Consequently, this would also mean that changing the Area's Resource Name also changes it's tag (i.e. an Area's Tag is the same as it's Resource Name).

An area's tag is the same as it's resource.
