I have the Mass Effect 2 collectors edition and I've played all the way through it,but now I want to play it on Insanity mode and my disc 1 will not read,the disc sounds like it's spinning fast and sounds scratchy,but when it stops spinning,it says play dvd,when I click play dvd, it just stays on my dashboard....this is very frustrating,because I can't play a new game,my disc 2 will load and play.....also,both discs are still in new condition,so what can I do to get it to play????  I have a brand new Elite system,even on my old system,it does the same thing..I can play all my other games on my system.

have you tried to start a new game with disc two then switching discs when prompted? its a long shot but may work....if this does work go back to the dashboard and install it then in future start the game from the harddrive.

Big RPG's like this you should have installed to the hard drive.Then its a simple disc check for whatever your doing.



I had to badger one of my co-workers for a long time to break down and buy a hard drive for his x-box...now he swears buy it.



My understanding is disc one has the opening movies on it,so starting from d 2 prolly isnt gonna work.



If the disc is mis-behaving on both systems...then its prolly the disc itself...some small scratch or burn.Mabey the system got jostled while it was spinning.

K2dae,yes already tried that,didn't work--Burningwolf,I have a large enough hdd,but unfortunately,I didn't think about putting the game on it,if I get ahold of another disc 1,I will definately install it on my hdd...problem is that the disc is still in new condition,pisses me off because it worked the 1st time through
