That aside, why do you say it like there's something wrong with how the dwarves look? Looking at character portraits around here, most of the female dwarves have pretty faces, and from a game perspective, they're quite formidable in combat. Why do you care of there are dwarf romances? If you don't like them, then don't use them.
And you should know that midget is often considered a fairly offensive word when referring to people.

Why must it boil down to fetishism or even sex? The dwarves have a fairly unique culture which gives dwarf allies an interesting outlook on the events of the game. It's not like one is actually having a sexual relationship or even witnessing explicit scenes when romancing these characters. For some people it's a game experience to unlock dialogue, special scenes, and lore through an intimate connection. For others, it's a role playing thing.

But then why are people asking for a Dwarven love interest? I mean if you were just after the things you said then why cant you just be happy that you have a female dwarf who isnt romancable in your party? Why does she have to be a love interest?

Some people into RPG's are anti-social outcasts who think they simply don't belong in there current society (when in fact they do, they just aren't very good at it) and look to exotic otherworldly woman as a means of attraction because they inherently think there low social standing will become irrelevant in there obtuse fantasy thinking. This is why people find dwarfs, elves and Asian babes attractive.
You forgot to list Borg.

Way to completely miss my point. It's obvious that this thread is related to the requests for a dwarven romance option, and I addressed it as such. If you elect to disregard my point in it's entirety then I'll do likewise to any further responses you may make. :innocent:

Asians? People find Asians attractive because they are anti-social outcasts?

People like options and sometimes the characters they play would prefer a romanceable party member from a certain race. When I ran through with my Dwarf Commoner it was such a pain to have to go all to Denerim just to get a taste of home.

First of all, role playing. Second of all, have you used any of the romances in Origins? The closer you are to someone, the more conversations and such you're going to unlock. It's a special way to find out more about a character and expand upon the storyline. Plenty of people roleplay the gender that they are not and romance people who do not coincide with their real life sexuality. Furthermore, dwarves and qunari are the only races that have not had a romance option; it's novel.
But really, why do you seem so troubled by it? Nobody's going to make you play the dwarf romance if you don't like it.
