I'm having the same problem with DA:O as I had with the character creator, the game wont run unless I completely turn off Spyware Doctor. I can't simply disable it, or turn off the application in task manager, I have to completely shut it down.
I've done a quick search but didn't find anything about it so was wondering if there was a work around for this problem? Any help appreciated.

you might try spybot S&D instead... I've tried a variety of spyware programs and that's the best (and free)

Thanks for the reply. Does Spybot have an antivirus component as I bought the antivirus version of Spyware Doctor?

it doesn't although AVG has an excellent free version (both spybot and AVG are fairly system resource lite)
