How did we get from Flemeth being possessed by a Powerful demon to Flemeth is friggin Andraste is beyond me
there's clearly no link/hint/tip/ or whatnot from Flemeth to Andraste at all

Morrigan has told you that Flemeth was possessed by a verry powerful Demon
and and since She didn'lie about anything (she prone to not telling you everything either)
my point is: so why would she lie about this???
and at what point in the story / lore did Andraste turn from being a goddess into a demon???

it is very obvious that Flemeth isn't Andraste

wether you want to see it or not is up to you
so believe what you will

but this is just my opinion ,:)

Andraste could have turned into a demon? The Baronness did. She was a human who became a demon, at least that is what it sounded like from what Justice said. She could have gone from powerful mage, to being wandering in the Fade, to becoming a demon.
Anyway, slow information flow ----> random speculation threads.

It is actually not even far-fetched. If Andraste was like Flemeth then she couldn't die either. So burning her wasn't her actual end. She would find a way back to life. And then she would probably be pissed at her betrayal, or not? People just hate her holy legends to become mundane. Funny how people get involved in religion in a game just as much as if it was real life.

I dunno, Flemeth never seemed particularly "bitter" to me. On the contrary - she seems like a queen of the world who has it all or at least has a plan how to have it all. Also, it seems that watching puny humans dragging out their miserable existence and their attempts to make a difference amuses her quite a lot.

Not the biggest Star Wars fan, but Flemeth is the perfect Sith Lord. Unlike the ones seen in the movies.

the baroness isn't a god she was just some bloodmage possessed by a powerful demon i believe that there is absolutely no reason / indication that Flemeth is anything  elsethan a powerfull mage possessed by a powerfull demonwich makes for a very potent combination^_^

It does seem far-fetched with what Flemeth's ideology seems to be. Why start a war? What would she gain? Ruling over subjects isn't true power (doesn't seem Flemeth's style, not as free) and freeing the oppressed seems to altruistic for Flemeth to do. Unless she did a 180 in personality after death.

It says the Baroness became a demon while in the Fade, doesn't say she was possessed (how/why would she when she had no body and was just a soul in the Fade?).

No, Kreia followed her own teachings, she didn't follow the Sith or Jedi. She had some good points, but in the end she was a nut.

We don't know what she would gain, or what her reasons were. That's the interesting part about Flemeth.

we don't know what happened  with her after she was forced to find an other body
maybe some of the character of who she possesses remains
and at least that would explain a possible 180 however highly doubtfull
maybe her original plan was to possess the OGB
and since she has to find it first now , she needs ally's
and she is just acting
because there might be a time limit, to the possession of the OGB to be able to use  that body to it's full potential
and after that it would be impossible for her to possess the OGB because it would be to powerfull
and maybe evn able to resist the attempt

while thinking of this, i like the idea,
it would be an interesting twist

just my cup of cofee (i don't like thee:blink:)

Just a thought.... Does anyone think anything about Flemeth's backstory about the Conobar and Esen (right?) guy?

One wants to destroy the Force which has some connection to life, thus probably killing/destroying all/most life in the galaxy. The other wishes to preserve a sort of balance and not have the world destroyed, selfish reasons included, but still not trying to undo the world. I'd say they have some significant differences in their ultimate goals. One became a nutcase bent on punching out god, the other on personal power and freedom.

Actually I think Flemeth does possess the soul of an old god already. She only needs another to create a bloodline. A mating pardner so to speak.

Might be true or might not, and might not even be her 'first' life. It seems a bit thin for a character like Flemeth though.

Of course I think about it, which is why I don't agree with Flemeth being Andraste. But wait! What if the demon Flemmeth summoned was Andraste who became a demon while wandering the Fade? WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Posted Image

Another question, where does your spirit go when you die? If it was going to sit by the maker, like in the Golden City, it would find it black and tainted. And what would it do then? Wait? Go looking for the Maker? Return to the lands of the living?

Go beyond the Fade as Justice suggests/theorizes?

Edit: Go straight to Maker if good boy/girl, wander the Fade if not (possibly get enslaved by a demon, become one yourself, or maybe find enlightenment eventually and find the Maker?).

All three versions have something in common. A non-possessed Flemeth. Hence she is NOT Andraste.

I don't think people become demons... BUT there is something in what you say.. The SPIRIT that possesed Andraste and FLEMETH may have been the same.

i am 100% convinced that Flemeth is nothing more that a very powerful Mage Possessed by a powerful demon
and has nothing to do with Andraste
i don't see Flemeth helping anyone not even a warden if there wasn,t a very good reason for to do so ,
and only when she could benefit from it
i believe that there is an other reason besides the OGB  that Flemeth saved the warden in the first place
there is something that she needs to be done and for some reason can not do it her self
or on her own,
like finding Morrigan/OGB for example

The Baroness did, in fact, become a demon of pride while being a soul in the Fade. Human in life, became a demon after death.
