Female Dalish elf. I would have liked this most in Origins where I'd play as a male human noble.

I just like this idea that my character would meet a Dalish who really hates humans, more so their "human lords" (nobles) but never actually had any long term contact with a human, noble or otherwise. She only knew that her people were living as nomads, unwanted and even hated in some places, by humans, when, in fact they were the ones to blame for everything bad that happened to the elves.

And in the end, after everything they'd been through, after seeing how truly noble or kind a human can be she'd change her mind. Of course this would only work if you'd play a "light side" character. If you like playing "dark side" I'd be disappointed if she didn't try to him.

This. In my Good Cousland Warden playthrough, he tried to do this with Velanna(despite her *****iness).
I was kind of disapointed when on all epilogues I had on awakening her ending was a negative one. But yeah, overall Female Dalish elf.

LOL I made a slight error, at the end of my comment I didn't write "kill", it was supposed to be "if she didn't try to kill him"... drunk and tired... bad combo... Sub-Zero would take me down in seconds :( just joking.

Any female warrior, really. As someone who plays nothing but male mages it is rather tiresome to get saddled with nothing but female mages. Oh, how I miss Shar-Teel...

I voted for Female Warrior Dwarf. I don't really care about race except for diversity, there have been enough human romances in DA1 and elven romances in BG2 but no dwarf romances, so for that reason there should be one. Similarly there aren't any female warriors to romance either, so again, it'd be a nice change of pace. If there were an option to think 'really' outside the box, my dream romance scenario would be a relatively attractive female Darkspawn (obviously the opposite of a broodmother) who wanted to be human again, and it would be up to the player's choices whether she was ever able to regain her humanity. But that wasn't on the list :) . So whatever gives us some nice variety while still being a fun and cool female romance option, I'm all for it!

A human, female Nevarran dragon hunter. Badly scarred face and an injured eye, badass dreadlocks, dragonskin armor, and a zweihänder included. A complete psycho on the battlefield who would be the very first in line to lead a suicide charge. Also has a disturbing dark sense of humor. Oh, and make her a sadist.

I was always into insane characters and having one romanceable would make me really happy. Plust it would be a nice change from angsty, evil, or goody two-shoes romances as she would be chaotic at it's finest. One minute she's cracking jokes around the campfire and playing with some village childeren and the next she's dismembering bandits with a gleeful smile on her face.

Morrigan was just about perfect, but it wasn't because she was human, or because she was a mage. (Her being female did play a part, though.) ^_^

Any female who isn't a Dwarf has just as much potential as any other. It just depends on personality. And the voiceover artist who plays her. They set the bar pretty high with Claudia Black and Corinne Kempa; the female LI voiceover artists have their work cut out for them.

So my answer was "female non-Dwarf of any class." (Sorry Dwarves.)

A qunari romance would be the most awesome/dramatic. It would make for a really controversial play-through. I'm sure anyone who's been reading up on those qunari info threads would agree with me; they really are the most fascinating race in Thedas.

Other than that, I don't really care about race or class (well except dwarves... that's just a no) It would be really great to have an NPC whether you can romance them or not that is funny. The characters like Alister and Anders (I don't know why everyone likes Nathaniel so much more) offered a great comic relief to the game.

Human female warrior.

I think there really shouldn't be more than 1 option per-gender. In Morrigan and Alistairs case, their romance brought some added emotional intensity to the main plot. Not so much with Leliana and Zevran though.

I wonder why bioware haven't opted to include 2 romance options: both bisexual, 1 male, 1 female?

I would like to see an elf female romance, they could add some interesting (or violent) choices for the PC to make against others if the racism of Ferelden carries over into the Freemarches.

Knocking a guy out after he calls your LI "knife ears" would be satisfying to say the least.

A dwarf female LI would be a very welcome addition as well, or a female human mage.

Generally depends on the kind of character I'm playing.

My ultimate romance (ideal) would be a male human rogue, a swashbuckler type, complete with sarcastic, witty commentary. No whining, no "talking about feelings" (at least not in the Carth/Alistair sense), and just generally gives you a reason to like him. Dark hair and eyes would be great, an olive to light brown complexion would be the best.

For a female romance, I've always wanted to see the leading female character be Asian or African in origin, complete with natural features, dark hair and eyes, if only to see something different than the standard Bioware female (dark haired Caucasian woman). If she was European I'd like to see a blonde haired/blue eyed (or red haired/green eyed) paladin or mage type. Only because Bioware mainly does dark haired females in terms of romance (Bastila, Miranda, Ashley, Jack, Morrigan) and it would be cool to see a lighter complexed female if she was Caucasian.

For male humans- male human warrior/rogue

For female humans- male human warrior/rogue OR female rogue/mage

For male elves- male elven rogue (Zevran)

For female elves- male elven warrior or mage

For male dwarves- female dwarven rogue

For female dwarves- male dwarven warrior

I like my male romance options to be strong or dexterous fighters, basically equipped for combat and not defenseless. I like my female romance options to be more persuasive and have some element of healing or magical ability, the exception being dwarves (who are not natural mages). Stereotypical I know but there's my answer :)
