When Ash and liara confronted me i chose liara, i dont know why but i guess i felt sorry for her after her mum died. I'm almost up to virmire, and i have put in a lot of time into this playthrough, as it is supposed to be my canon one, and now i regret choosing liara. Is there any possible way to romance ash now? Any way at all?

If not, is it possible to edit the save to change the LI and still being able to continue where i left off?

I believe you can break it off at the locker scene if you completely reject her. I could be wrong though.

It's not possible to choose Ash after that confrontation. I made the same mistake, and regretted it alot. As far as I know, it's not possible to edit save games. You can however download save games, but that would be to much work, since you''ll never be able to find a save with exactly the same choices you made.

You might check out this thread. It's about modding ME 2 on the 360. There might be some info there http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020

Well think of it this way, now you have more reason to go back and replay the awesome game. Maybe its not as satisfying when you don't manage to complete your current playthrough, but meh i made a similar mistake only with choosing a class i totally didn't like much. Can't remember which, but anyway it was only when i got quite far into the game i decided to restart with a different class lol.

Eh, they're both horrible LI options. Just skip the LI subplots for ME and get with Tali, maybe Jack for ME2. Much better!

because the way liara acts in ME 2 is just ridiculous, completely different person, at least ash stays the same in me 2, even if she was being a bit of a ****, but it was understandable.

But yeah i just restarted it,

i have read into that shes not a diffrent person its more or less a front she puts on if you follow the dialog options the right way you find out shes still the same person she was in 1. but thats according to wikipedia so it can be debated, although i did notice it so i guess wikipedia was right on that.......im gonig to stop now i think im having an arguement with mysef in this post.  but yeah she seems to be the same

I think you would have to do a total reboot with an old save. Alternatively you could just go with this one for now and then do a 'second canon playthrough' with Ash and this time remember to choose Ash or even just explain to Liara at an early stage (second conversation) that Ash is 'special' and that you would rather just be friends. That way you can still comfort her about the loss of her mother without having to romance her in the process.

Still personally I always preferred Ashley. Liara had some good moments but overall for implementing and characterization I always think Ashley was the best in that regard.
