 Does anyone know of a way to drop quests?  I left Ostagar before finishing The Hungry Deserter, thinking I could simply finish it with RTO, but it unfortunately does not count.

Can I edit the saved game?  Can I load the old Ostagar module via the console and finish it, and then return to my game (without ruining anything)?

The "Ostagar" tab is just really annoying for some reason.
