Well, well, well! My first post in the DA world. :wizard:

Well, I've installed DA and got some bonus content and have tried a little venture into the game.

However, I find the game controls somewhat ...irritating - since I'm a NWN/NWN2 player.
I'm used to that the camera turns when the mouse is at the edge of the screen, is it possible to get DA to behave the same way?
Having to keep control over my surroundings with the TAB key and at the same time having to use A and D to pan the camera is something I MIGHT get used to - but am not. And if it's actually possible to get DA to behave like NWN/NWN2, I won't bother getting used to it either. :innocent:

Tried a search, but the search engine appears to be working for a second, and then it stops. I guess it's just me being a rookie.

Search engine is having problems... at this point there's no way to make the camera swing around that I know of, but since you can swing the camera via the right mouse button... holding it while WQES moving seems to be the closest approximation

Thanks, JironGhrad.

I might also mention that right-clicking to move is something that I will need some time to learn... Heh heh.

Well, hopefully either I get used to this, or (more hopefully) BioWare decides the old NWN1 camera actually is the best for this type of game.

they won't change the camera, but I've played NWN from day 1 and I got used to the movement though I sometimes find myself trying to left click to move

at the risk of sounding like an ****....

This isnt exactly NWN/NWN 2, its a different game and correct me if im wrong but most games play/control differently... so maybe you should just get use to the controls as you would in about every other game? sorry.

Really? That explains a lot. ;)

I was simply asking if I could change camera controls so that I might get quicker into the game. I've just installed the game, and because the of the camera controls and right-clicking to move I used about an hour just to finish my Mage's starting quest. :D
I probably will get used to the controls - though it may take some time, as I am playing and building in NWN2 at the same time.

Eh, Pract1t10ner... there are some players, such as myself, who have been playing Bioware RPG's for over 10 years. They ALL handled the same. Left click to move, right click to position party, left-select->left-click to use an iten/spell on a character, and so on.

Suddenly, DA:O works "in reverse", with right click for movement, but still left-clicking for using items. I can understand the confusion, because at first I exepected Neverwinter Nights-like controls too.
