Since me1 came out, it just doesn't feel right whenever i create a custom face, since Bioware made a cannon face (to bad they didn't use the same system as in daoPosted Image). Especially in me2 where I just can't get into a character who doesn't have his face.

Anybody else got this problem?
And who never uses the canon one?

I can only use default for male shep. His face and voice combination is ingrained in me already. It also has the added advantage that if you enjoy fan-created stuff, most people tend to use the default face as well, so it's less jarring for me. His creepy grin, however.....

*shudder*

That's another thing: his voice.
Since he talks with a fixed accent, some custom characters you make, just don't fit with the voice.
I'm not saying it's a case of bad voiceacting (which it's certainly not), it's just that, especially in the case if you play a renegade character, his voice seems out of character from time to time.

The female default face and voice however, have never bothered me. I don't remember her name, but she provided voice acting in sw: kotor as well. Excellent voice, only the female body (not the face, but the body) tends to move a bit robotic at certain times.

The speech from you pc does add to the ambience and overall feeling of me1 and 2, so i'm not really sure which I prefer, dao dialog or me dialog.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that i'm glad i'm not the only one who has this problem.Posted ImagePosted Image

If they get don't do the 'origins' bit and instead have a set character with more or less a set backstory, we could combine both. Actually I think that's what they might intend to do with DA2.
