Hmmmmm, had my thought on buying every Bioware game that had come out, just a few more and my collection would have been complete, but now it looks like I will pirate the last games I need, not supporting a company that just ditch their core fans from their earlier titles, the computer gamers :/

Well I'm not buying DA2.

PC players made Bioware what it is today. Seems like they are forgetting that.

Lol, that would be a wise move on EA's part.

Fully supported this game up until now.
Without an aerial view, I just don't care about the combat system.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I just don't want to buy the game anymore.
Feels pretty bad, man.

I'll wait for a comment from a dev.

However, them not commenting makes me think that they don't want us to truly rage.

Mod Edit: Inflammatory comment removed. I don't think a dev would be quick to answer you if they read the insult I edited out. Furthermore, it's the weekend.

They do have the right but why do you have to buy it? Is not the burden on them to sell this game to the public? I wasn't aware of some global mandate that required me to purchase BioWare's games.

I never said I would buy it, although I guess my post could have been interpreted that way, I just meant that IF I do buy it, I'll try to like it for what it is. That's kinda the reason I stopped listening to what Peter M. from Lionhead says about the Fable franchise. I love the games, but man does he love to talk.

i know bioware games are usually good, but if it is will you buy it anyway?

I never had a doubt I would buy DA:O and ME2, despite hating most of their marketing campaign.
Here so far history is spin-off rather than sequel, and whenever we learn something new about gameplay is that it´s changed. If this line continues then no, I won´t buy it.

The toolset news is truly disappointing but doesn't surprise me.

In regard to isometric view, I thought they had said pc combat would stay the same. Iso view was a part of pc combat. I want dev confirmation on this.

Can the people remember how BioWare pave the way to an epic fail?

If some has forget that thing, I man didn't forget as I didn't see anything since that day.Where are your promises?

So now, if BioWare has made the choice to leave behind them those who made of them who they are today, it seems they're going straight forward the wall with a second epic fail.

So, BioWare, I really hope, for us and for you, to take in consideration what your fanbase is asking.

DO NOT REMOVE THE TACTIC VIEW.

As a french, I still do not forget the missing in our territory about he Origins CE retail version, do not talk about the Toubon LAw, even Mindscape realesed  in France a Baldur gate Collector without any translation for the TotSC and ToB extensions.

In september, I'm sure I will buy this magazine to see what it returns.

Are you sure you don't want  an epic fail number 2?So, do what you have to do, please.

Please people, remain calm, I don't want this thread closed by admins because of some trollish comments. Thanks.

I'd love for someone to be able to ally the fears of the PC gamers by offering a date or SOMETHING for when the PC version will be up for review. It would go a long way to calm some people (up until the review comes out that is). It's the lack of information on the exact mechanics of the PC version that leaves everything open to interpretation.

No sale then. Not bothered, it looks like it's going to be Dragon Effect 2 anyway. Shove it.

Well hi, CD Projekt....

Haven't they said they wanted to sell more?

Bioware, you are doing it wrong.

Ouch.

This truly is disappointing. I had thought that there would be more tactical options this time around, and that would go hand-in-glove with an isometric. I've been pretty neutral when it comes to the cries of a lot of people regarding "dumbing down", but clearly this is a decision made to make the game more console-friendly and less tactical. The aerial view was cool, it's not something you see any more. Too bad.

Oh well. Hopefully those wacky indie devs making Age of Decadence will pull off something special. There's also New Vegas, Witcher 2 and the new Deus Ex in the horizon that will hopefully be pretty good. So yeah, I'll just look elsewhere.

10K was it? I was quite relieved to see elves didn´t have WOW ears.Just let´s be thankful this is not a console  exclusive.

Ok, fist of all, at what point in any of my 3 or 4 posts did I say anything about the PC market being broken? That was another guy who kept claiming that pirates break the PC market and bla, bla, bla... Like if piracy wasn't a big issue on consoles too, hmmph.

The PC market is anything but broken.

Sorry, I should have written "and for that guy who said that PC market is broken"... It wasn't meant as a reply to you. :innocent:

And QFT!

PS.: I did liked the OC of NWN and NWN2 even more. I meant that the community explored the possibilites of that game a lot more than the OC. There were amazing features in many different Permanent Worlds that were not available at the OC.

Im really pissed that DA2 wont be having a toolset. The mod community for DAO was/is huge and they produced awesome mods that made me return to Origins time after time.

They say that Bioware listens to it's community? Well im not seeing it. How many games before Bioware turns to another Westwood? Enjoy the ride while it lasts.

But then, a lousy PC game gets even more downloaded, experimented and deleted. A good PC game will sell a lot, even to those who may have experimented it first. And pirated console disks are for sale everywhere and very cheap, which makes someone gain illegal money since they sell a lot. Way worse than d/l'ed files that may still revert into some sales.

First of all: I do agree that piracy it's an issue for consolle too. But if a game like DA:O who was developed mostly for the PC sells lots more on the consolle than the PC... well, then we should aknowledge that the situation is really bad for single player games on the PC (RTS like Starcraft 2 sells great on PC because of multiplayer imho). Piracy it's a great issue for PC gaming, we have to face the reality of it. That's why I'm not against modern DLCs like online validation every week or so.

Having said that, I do not want to go OT. The point is simply that devs should clear the issue about isometric view because the removal of it simply turns DA in something completely different gameplay wise.
