Wow... I don't even know where to begin, but I'll try.
-cheaper games
-broader selection
-strategy games (usually don't make it to console)
-upgradeable hardware. Try that with the xbox
-there a dozen quest mods for The Witcher, two of which are made by the devs. All are free. Something you would never see on consoles.
-ever played the Terran X series? No way in hell could the consoles support a game like that. Control scheme is too complicated. you don't even have the option of using a key board and mouse. Just silly.
-ever hear of emulators?
-and my personal favorite. No motion control games. Have fun playing wall-ball with your tv.

You missed the most important one -- the larger screen on a PC game. Because so many console players sit so far from their screens, even a 17" monitor is bigger than what a console developer can count on having. That's why console games have to have big clunky interfaces.

Oh Bioware. You said it wasn't about consoles. You said it wasn't selling out.
Hopefully everyone can see the truth now. :/

@Estel - With all due respect, sorry, but as a person who owns both console + PC version of the game, I believe that you are either misrepresenting facts or you skipped over that dialog or you always made Alistair king

Yup, at 3:35 there is a steeper top down view. (thanks for link!)DahliaLynn wrote...

Didn't we see the game in top down view on the dev video featured on Game Informer?
Don't get too excited. That was the 360 version you were looking at and that was NOT a top down view like what is in DAO for the PC.
Hmmm you mean here? at 03:31?

@cmesaa phew, And i guess the reason Console owners don't have a toolset for PS3/Xbox-360 is for the fact that i believe. That it wouldn't be very easy to do animations, or cutscene's idk. They could test a toolset for PS3 and if it's nto possible that don't release it
i hope so Golden-Rose, i hope were fools, but bioware hasn't said anythingGolden-Rose wrote...

Not true. Else we wouldn't have lightmapper problems. There are differences in the glue that holds the little bits of toolset together. The toolset itself is the same, yes, but BioWare has some licenced tools that they can't release to the community, and that causes some (if not most) of the technical modding headaches.

Yeah, but some devs like Gaider or the other writers or Laidlaw certainly are around. Even giving them the benefit of the doubt that its the weekend, you think they'd want to step into this hornet's nest without their PR machine backing them up?

Here is the crux of the problem.
Bioware's crappy engine doesn't even have proper LOD support: every LOD setting uses separate meshes and textures instead of scaling high-quality texture and geometry detail down depending on distance from camera and user settings like all normal games do. The excuse for their lazy coding is laughable.
