Ms. Norman's twitter account let something interesting slip late last night, see for yourselves here.  For those not willing to sift through Tweets and I quote "I want shadow broker to come out so I can start my adept insanity playthrough of mass effect 2!"  as well as "@Abisco79 sorry I can't tell you why I must start an insanity adept playthrough as soon as shadow broker comes out :(".  This leads me to believe the changes she was talking about in her Tweet a few weeks ago which said, "@abisco79 You want us to make the adept more powerful in ME3? Who says we'll wait for ME3?" will be coming out with the LotSB DLC.  I'm so glad I've yet to play an Adept class in either ME1 or ME2, guess I should start playing through ME1 with my Adept in preparation...

They're going to make Adepts MORE powerful?

That is absolutely bonkers.

Yeah well just in case you haven't played and compared Adepts in ME1 vs ME2, they were basically nerfed into oblivion.  In ME1 a level 60 Adept could play through the whole game on Insanity and probably not die more than 5 times.  Singularity could easily clear an entire room full of enemies.  In ME2 you have to strip away all of their defense bonuses before you can hold them in a Singularity, and even then it is limited to 4 targets, or 6 if you choose heavy singularity.

YES! I'm a Sentinel but I do hope it'll effect me. If it doesn't though, well I plan on doing a sentinel playthrough anyway.

I still loved adept in ME2, and thought it was probably the most powerful class

Adept was my favourite class in ME2, I'm just curious to what they're tweaking.

I'm hoping it's giving powers like throw, pull, and shockwave more effectiveness. I don't see why armor would keep someone from being pushed with a force supposedly equal to a hurricane.

That's cool. I've just started an adept character in ME2. I hope this DLC will be on time. ;)

This could possibly make Shockwave an even more viable option. Interesting

She is obviously just saying that she wants to start her Insanity Adept playthrough, but can't due to the fact that her work on the Shadow Broker DLC takes too much of her time.

Seriously though, I almost assumed the Firepower Pack to be that buff to the Adept, guess I was wrong. Back to my original guess, then: a new extra "Bonus Power" you'll get after completing the DLC, which may or may not be class dependant.

I find Christina's comment a little confusing. Why would she need to wait until the SB DLC to start her Adept Insanity playthrough, considering that you can continue to play after the Suicide Mission? Or, if she wanted to have a theoretical SB DLC bonus during the SM, she could play up to 75% and then wait. (Unless she just doesn't want to wait. But one has to wait until one can reach Illium regardless, one assumes...)

Might end up being an achievement based bonus where she'd finish it normally and then her adept playthrough would make her a beast.

I think we may be reading a bit too much into this. I recall one of her tweets where she said FemShep fans would really like a new upcoming DLC. The rampant speculation went in the direction of a Cure for Thane DLC. We all know now she was referring to the Kasumi DLC and the dress FemSheps get. I'd say hold off on analyzing her tweets too much. She's trying to tease us a bit, which I think is pretty cool, that's all

There's a notable difference between something femsheps might like(which refers to more then half the game)and her wanting to wait for the new DLC to start her Adept playthrough, as well as her saying they wouldn't wait till ME3 to make them more powerful.

I understand your point KingDan97 but it just sounds like the slippery slope to me. The speculation could be correct and we may be seeing tweaks to the adept class. However, it would be a bit odd to tweak anything meaningful in the class at this point. Guess we'll see soon.... or whenever Lair of the Shadow Broker comes out.

Yeah, it's looking like whatever changes they were planning on making to the biotics will show up in this upcoming DLC.

Maybe we also get a bonus power from Liara!?

dude, i know. however, this one guy on youtube posted a video on 4 unused codex entries in me2, one of them talking about thermal clips. in there, they said that new innovations like mass-integrated armor were being made to offset the "power" of thermal clips. maybe that is why they are resistant to biotics too.

I hope so...that would mean she is at least a temporary squad mate.

If she is, I'd imagine they'd give her a new biotic power to go along with this biotics beef up.  Plus, if she is a mandatory temp squaddy, it would force the player to use the some of the new biotics and see them first hand.

Huh, I just started an Adept playthrough. Guess I'll put it off until LotSB is released, just in case.

Oh exciting! I actually have yet to play as an adept in ME2, so perhaps I will wait for the dlc to come out and give it a try :D
