I'm not sure what kind of buff is needed really. Every class is able to speedrun Insanity as it is.
Maybe they can lower the base cooldowns on abilities and make the upgrades a little less important, to enable endgame playstyle earlier.
Adept changes coming in Shadow Broker DLC?!

If they are improving the adept - I'm hoping it's an improvement to powers in general. I feel that defenses really shouldn't shut down many of the powers the way they do currently. Some ideas:
throw - instead of being negated almost entirely, it should stagger and deal good damage, or throw the target with reduced force. Shockwave should be the same way.
Pull - reduced duration
cryoblast - slow target perhaps, and make them vulnerable to damage. This could also work for Shockwave.
Singularity - unchanged, though duration probably shouldn't be so variable.
Concussive Shot - as throw

I do think it would make more sense if the defenses absorbed some amount of the effect, rather than basically negating it entirely, for the powers that aren't specifically the rock to that defense's scissors.

Yes, I agree - particularly for Shockwave. Right now, it is nigh-useless outside of Veteran. The worst part is that Vanguards need to waste points in it for Pull.

Pull needs longer cooldown.
Shockwave needs to, uh, not suck.
Singularity needs to at least be able to bypass shields and armor, at the cost of longer cooldown.

How do longer cooldowns help Adepts?
Reduced (rather than negated) effect on defenses is what they need.

Considering Pull is already OP enough, increased power against defenses is basically asking for Adepts and Vanguards to break the game.

Singularity is still effective to enemies who have shields and armor. It immobilizes them to a point where they can't fight back. Use it against a Scion and see that sucker stand still as you chip away its armor.

I don't see Bioware rewriting code to change game mechanics. They never did before in a patch or DLC unless it's to fix a bug. Look for something like a new armor, research or weapon that gives them a buff.

I'm going to take this opportunity to shamelessly plug my own group:

Hopefully we will discuss these sweeping Adept changes in the very near future.
