On my current character I'm level 4 and just about to undergo the Joining. I go through the ceremony and get given a level up (+) symbol - however when I click it I get no option to add to my Attributes (ie no points to add, it's set to 0 rather than 3), however I do get a new Talent to add. Also, upon completing the level gain I'm still at level 4, rather than advancing to level 5.

Any ideas what to do? I've tried reloading from the save made just before the cermony and one a few minutes earlier but the problem is still there.

it's a bonus talent point... certain of the books you can find in-game will also grant you "level-type" bonuses... this is normal
