Greets,
We have some creatures which I believe are CEP creatures as we cannot "edit" them.
One problem we've recently discovered is that when a DM spawns them into the game via the Creator, the creatures spawns as Immortal. There are no settings on the creature that would imply that it is Immortal. It's not set to Plot, Immortal or any other setting on the creature, on it's items or in it's abilities that should make it Immortal.
Any ideas on why this might happen?
In particular the creatures are: War Trolls. Don't know if it's part of the creature scripts or what.
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Are you killing the War Trolls off with fire and acid once they're on the ground?

They never get to the ground. They take no damage.

The War Trolls are ahem...bad MamaJammas of death and destruction. We spawned them in vs dragons and they whupped the dragons easy.
In the edn we exported them and added them to our custom hak to overwrite the ones in the CEP to make them better and more useable other wise unless you have a Epic server...no one is going to hurt those guys much.

I looked hard at those creatures. I just don't see anything that makes them so bad. Their AC is not outrageous, their CR is only in the mid teens, they don't seem to have immunities, damage reductions or anything else that makes them mean. Where is that power coming from?
Oh, and TSM Dude - expect a message from me as soon as I have the time to compose it. I'm curious about that custom Hak process.

It might be in the scripting attached to the trolls. Are the trolls:
A) taking no damage at all?
taking damage but never becoming wounded?
C) taking damage but never getting below "near death"?
A might mean the script is setting the trolls to "plot", making them invulnerable, or they have serious damage resistance/immunity.
B might mean that the trolls are being hurt, but are just regenerating incredibly fast.
C might mean the trolls are set to "immortal", so they take damage but are never killed (unless hit with enough acid/fire damage for a certain script to fire off and remove the immortality).

I suspect it has something to do with how damage is handled in the War Troll's OnUserDefined script (cz_realtroll_ud). The section under EVENT_DAMAGED is pretty complicated, I only took a quick look at it but it appears to be some kind of custom damage tracking system. Maybe that's the problem.
Anyway, I was going to ask the same questions as The Amethyst Dragon. It would really help narrow down the possibilities.

EDIT: One thing I noticed was that the War Troll blueprint has a creature hide with +5 regen on it, but it looks like regen is already handled in the OnUserDefined scrip. So it could be that it's getting double the regen that it should.

I looked at the same script. It seems they are taking "Subdual Damage" and then when they get down to zero or less (Subdual HP - Original HP) then they are knocked down and then you burn or acid them to kill them. I'll be testing this. Cool script. Might need to steal it and use similar scripts on other creatures. ;-)
