While I can't get it to work with my computer with windows home premium 7 64 installed (even though I tried both steam version and the CD one), I had no problem whatsoever when I installed the CD version on my laptop which is under vista 32 SP2 (UAC disabled, no Avast). I already created a test area and a NPC)

Maybe there's a difference between the default settings of both OS that would explain the failues I experimented. Still, I'd be happy for a new version of the toolset since building with my laptop, even though it is good, ùmight become a bit tedious.

Ok, I said nothing... This is possible to give acces to a folder on XP. But even after doing that and having files installed in the data folder, the "Unable to connect to Database" error message appears when I launch the toolset.

After this run the "cmd"

"C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft SQL Server\\90\\Tools\\Binn\\"sqlcmd -S .\\BWDATOOLSET -E -Q "RESTORE DATABASE bw_dragonage_content FROM DISK = 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\dbbak\\bw_dragonage_content.bak' WITH MOVE 'bw_dragonage_content' TO 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\toolssql\\Data\\bw_dragonage_content.mdf', MOVE 'bw_dragonage_content_Log' TO 'C:\\Program Files\\Dragon Age\\tools\\toolssql\\Data\\
bw_dragonage_content.ldf'"

This is it.
These Two things I did startet the Toolset without problems. The key is the First point

I finally got it to work .

My problem was my that I´m running a German version of vista and the path is Programme and not Program Files.
I changed the 1st Program Files but didn´t change the others 3 paths; make sure if your path is different from Program Files you change all 4 of the paths.

Try going to the SQL Server Configuration Manager and change it to Local Service

Look at their patch thread and if you want this is a thread with some people having the same issues and a collection of similar threads.
