I will be attempting this solo with this fabulous character
Lady Miranda
Female Human Kensai level 7

Took several rolls, probably fifteen minutes, maybe a bit longer, but I got lucky with this character.  Will be attempting on insane we'll see how that goes. Other information includes mods:

Best of luck. I always thought Kensai/Druid duals to be amazing and have wanted to play one for a long time. I was thinking of a Necromancer but now you've got me reconsidering. =D

A really good melee thac0 and damage bonus, with access to Ironskin for defense and Insect Plague for those pesky mages. On top of that, Armor of Faith, Chaotic Commands, NPP, Magic Resistance, SotA... not to mention Harm + Kensai thac0 = almost guaranteed hit!

I'm curious as to your weapon choices. I'd probably pick staves and spears for the Impaler and the Staff of the Woodlands. Taking the character in ToB means access to Staff of the Ram as well.

Keep us posted on your progress, I especially would love to see a mini-log of major events so I can get the gist of how to go about things. Once again, good luck!

Yeah I've wanted to test out nature's beauty as well, it seems like a pretty awesome spell in a solo. I will study the weapon choices in depth furthur along, but as of right now I've constructed the kensai to dual wield clubs and  scimitars(readying for spectral brand and club of denotation) but I will look furthur into staff of ram and impaler. I will probably use all of them. I'm also thinking of when to dual, probably around levels 16-20, I need to consider how many druid HLA I may actually use among other things(kai abilities/speed/ and damage).

There are noticeable drawbacks, no vhailor's helm, no shield of harmony. I spammed those items in my previous solo with a fighter. It will be an interesting experience.

I'm curious... why did you dump so many points into Charisma, while neglecting dex?  Or is that just how the roll landed and you chose not to redistribute available points?

Don't forget barkskin for base AC.  When your druid is lvl 20, that'll give you a base of 1AC, and combined with the -2 Kensai AC bonus, you'll have a base AC of -1, not too shabby at all.  Throw in some other nice +AC items and you'll be anything but frail.

I guess the reason is easy to explain: A Druid needs at least 15 Charisma, and only a dexterity score of 15 or more will get you any AC bonus at all. So going for 14 Dex instead of 17 Charisma doesn't make a lot of sense... The charisma bonus isn't great, but the dexterity bonus doesn't help at all. On the other hand, even 7 Dexterity would be as good as 14, so I what I don't really understand is why the Dexterity score is not even lower.

However, there might be roleplaying reasons or not wanting to change a "natural roll" :)

Didn't know about the 15 charisma minimum for druids. Also, didn't realize there was such a wide range of dex scores that, unless you're a thief, don't seem to change your abilities at all.

I probably should have decreased my dexterity further but I usually like well rounded characters, one of the last caveats I have for RP.

Slyx: Unfortunately for druids, charisma is their prime stat, so in order to duel to them you must have at least 17 charisma. So a base fighter to druid character should have at least 15 strength and 17 charisma.

Well I'd rather sacrifice CON and max DEX since you can't wear the DEX gloves but can wear the Girdle of Fortitude. Pop that baby on for 8 hours and when you need to recharge it, rest.

Lady Miranda the Kensai

The Lady Miranda has severe trouble everywhere she encounters enemies with arrows. She can take down the greatest of foes in one on one combat however. She defeated Amalas by buffing DUHM beforehand. However, this does not help her in anyway against mages and anyone with a bow, crossbow, or sling. Even the minute goblins in Irenicus Dungeon cause her incredible trouble when they wield bows. This is likely due to her low dexterity or so I believe.
Miranda was having problems with Suna Suni, but then the realization that with oil of potion and DUHM, such a thing was actually do-able. Miranda destroyed Suna Suni with such buffs, first the mage went then everything else in Lady Miranda's way. With this newfound strategy, Lady Miranda gathered up all the loot and prepared to buy several oil of potions.

Trademeet

This town is being held hostage by Dao Djinns. Lady Miranda kills the djinn outside the tent to get the efreeti bottle. The druids give a decent fight, call lightning once again can kill Miranda in one hit however, with the efreeti summon, he usually can take two. Lady Miranda obtains gnasher from one of the enemies and then after the druid grove is saved by Cernd, she obtains belm and places it offhand to get 4 APR, quite nice at this level.

Umar Hills

It was a conscious decision to leave off Nalia's Quest for later, and I don't believe Lady Miranda could handle the umberhulks at the very end of the dungeon anyways. Umar Hills has a nasty bone golem and the Shade Lord itself, but it's a choice choice decision at best. It's becoming clear to me that the kensai was not built for a solo. Having only the efreeti to summon has been a saving grace at best.
Desperate times call for desperate actions. The Shade Lord has a stunning ability, and this ability targets. Using a protection from undead scroll after the Shade Lord speaks with her, Lady Miranda easily defeats all enemies.

Tarner's Group

The temple sewers has a wide area, good for running around with the newly minted rings of air control(two of them) and killing Tarner's group one by one. A campaign of such, Lady Miranda deals with them in such fashion.

Planar Prison

The party up front is dispatched of quite easily. But Miranda runs into some more umberhulks(I guess she might be too high a level or something) and she needs to constantly switch between lilacor and her normal set up. In any case, in acquiring the boots of speed from the welcoming party(the thief) she now has 5 apr, duel wielding gnasher and belm. I've decided that I will likely duel Miranda at 18.
What was once a difficult task of defeating umberhulks has now become easier for Miranda. Even confused, she destroys umberhulks like meat through a grinder. The key is to turn the AI on so Miranda can 'think' for herself. Buffing DUHM and mirror image(from ibratha) she instantly becomes a killing machine. This was much more difficult earlier.

Mencar at Seven Vales

Earlier attempts at this fight proved fatal for Miranda. Not after planar prison. This battle was easy afterwards. With the lesser air elemental, and dual wielding belm and kundane(speed factor of 0) with apr 5, Lady Miranda tore through this party up straight and with no tricks or running around. The sword acquired from the crypt king silenced pooky but not the other mage.

Unseeing Eye

At level 14, Lady Miranda spoke with the Avatar of the temple and agreed to combine two parts of the rod. The lesser air elemental summon has turned out to be a very powerful summon, immune to what I can assume to be normal attacks or something. Lilacor has proven useful in killing the greater mummy in the undead rooms.
Large battle against the blind priests but they could not stop the onslaught of a djinn, lesser air elemental, and a newly minted level 15 kensai Lady Miranda. She eventually gets around to assembling the rod and defeats the Unseeing Eye with it, and then gives the depleted rod to the Avatar. Gaal's cult is defeated.

Hunt for Valygar

Lady Miranda finds out a man named Valygar is wanted by the Cowled Wizards. She goes to Umar Hills and tracks him down there. His ranger buddies attempt to defend him, but to no avail, the djinn and herself are enough to rid of the ranger nonsense. Valygar attempts to plea for his life, but Lady Miranda will have none of it.

Planar Sphere

The halflings inside get surprised by an invisible kensai who kills the one casting true sight. Unable to recover against such crazy fighter, they scramble hurriedly in desperation. Their numbers fall too quickly. Lady Miranda creates the golem and is off to see Tolgerias. Her first try wasn't very successful as she was timid and cautious at best. Her second go was more aggressive, killing Tolgerias's friend(apprentice?) very quickly thus leaving poor ol' Tolgie all alone. Equipped with blackblood and kudane she wipes the floor off Tolgerias. He doesn't have time to use true sight to rid of Lady Miranda's improved invisibility. Just a note here, the rings of air control are useful, but only up to a certain part of the game. Most enemies are able to see invisibility later on.
Lady Miranda reaches the fire room where the primary reason of her being her is revealed. She acquires the staff of fire which should enable her some help while getting her druid levels up. The planar sphere is completed soon after yet Lady Miranda still needs a bit more experience to get her over to level 18.

Dragon at the Shade Temple

There was still an evil that remained in the Shade Lord dungeon, and Lady Miranda sought to extinguish it. First initial tries had Lady Miranda summoning an elemental and then attacking the dragon while it was focused on the summon. Eventually this worked in combination with mirror image after the dragon was distracted long enough. Note that this was not the tactics version of the dragon, which I highly doubt Miranda would be able to do at this level.

A new beginning with the Harper Hold

As a level 1 druid, Lady Miranda accesses her situation. Upon completing the Harper quests, Lady Miranda is level 7. Afterwards she heads towards Windspear to defeat some werewolves, she gains a level. She now heads to the Bridge District, hoping to get to level 9. The tanner quest is finished.
Lady Miranda gains control of the druid grove and has now become a Great Druid. She also leveled up to 10, getting fire elemental as a summon.
Some additional comments: The beginning part of the game is intensely difficult. I believe that a certain order could be done, but Ibratha is definitely needed as soon as possible. I don't know why I did not go straight for ibratha, it must have slipped my mind. Getting the efreeti bottle is a must. I tried to get the kitthix figurine but failed repeatedly, a thousand spiders the kensai cannot handle. The damage output however is amazing. Three more strongholds left I think(fighter, thief, and paladin).

If you haven't yet, go to de'Arnise Keep! In the basement level you can get the shield amulet, which will set your base AC to 4 (or 2 for a Kensai) AND gives an additional +2 AC bonus to missile weapons. A MUST I think for a Kensai. Makes a world of difference. The buff only lasts about 5 real time minutes, but it comes with like 40+ charges, and when you sell/rebuy from a merchant, it'll have 50 charges on it. That'll last you quite a long time.

Oh, also, did you consider waiting til 20 or 21. 21 would be great, as you'd get another Kensai bonus, and a couple fighter HLA's too. It's gonna take forever to dual of course, but, even at 18 it's going to take a LONG time, so a few more levels might be worth it.

Edit:  Oops, thought I read you were just level 1.  Looks like you've already spent a good deal of time working on the druid side already.

Edit:  Another useful, perhaps cheesy item is the necklace of missiles.  It only comes with 2 charges, but if you sell/rebuy it now has 25 charges.  It's basically like a fireball spell, doing up to 6D6 area damage; would be great for getting that spider figurine.  Also, it is great for interrupting mages trying to cast on you, if they are under protection from magic weapons.  I believe it will hit liches too, as it has a power of "9" which means it's equivalent to a lvl 9 spell (liches being immune to anything less than lvl 6 spells).

However, for the spiders, the 6th level spell Fire Fruits will also work quite well. You should use a protection from fire spell before, though.

I'm doing the De'Arnise keep, will keep an eye out for the amulet. Will probably try for kitthix later. Hopefully my stronghold quests will begin so I can get the lion too.

I guess it's about time to do an update.

Miranda's first foray into the De'Arnise did not go very well. Meeting up with three spirit trolls as well as the normal trolls was awfully too much for her weak self as well as the fire elemental, lesser elemental, and djinn summon. A sign of humility for Miranda finally, after rampaging across the lands as a kensai, to be as such for a druid.

Mae'Var's Treachery

The thief stronghold was completed very quickly. The only difficult party was Rayic, and nothing insect plague couldn't handle. Lady Miranda was not very clean in disposing the entire guild of Mae'var, but Mae'var himself fell and the reward was granted. Miranda then heads back to De'Arnise Keep.

De'Arnise Keep

The spectral trolls were no longer there for some reason. Perhaps it is because I removed the cache items? I don't know. Lady Miranda assembles the flail of ages and makes dog stew and successfully defeats the umberhulks right before Tor'Gal. But then there is trouble. The group of summons Lady Miranda summons cannot defeat Tor'Gal and his two giant trolls in an up front attack. Perhaps Miranda can change strategy in this battle. The ending strategy to this battle is simple, split the trolls in the varying rooms and then have the summons take them down individually. It is not the most fashionable thing but it gets the job done. I like to think Lady Miranda placed her own locks on the doors(why wouldn't she?) so the enemies couldn't bust through.

Bodhi's Graveyard HQ

In dealing with the vampires, Lady Miranda finally found out a way to buff herself into a decent fighter while as a druid. Using the buffs of barkskin, ironskin, flame blade(a spell) and then finally the single bhaalspawn ability of DUHM she gets her AC down to -4, and her thaco to 3(not bad considering her normal thaco is 10 with weapon).

The Efreeti Versus the Lesser Air Elemental

Near Spellhold, right outside, the Efreeti summon met up with a lesser air elemental. Lady Miranda got to see which summon(the air elemental was souped up by insane difficulty however) was stronger. The efreeti pulled out 'near death' so in theory, the lesser air elemental is weaker.

Lich in Spellhold

Near Dace the vampire there is a lich which cowers in one of the corners of the hallways. He brings a contingency of skeleton warriors and greater mummies with him. Not much to say about this lich except his efreeti summon is stronger then the one that comes out of the efreeti bottle. Also, he dominated one of Lady Miranda's fire elementals, and in turn the fire elemental killed him anyways. Lady Miranda unfortunately did not get the experience points for that little squabble. It is taking forever to get to level fourteen.

Certain Uncertain Outcomes in the Pirates versus Githyanki episode

Everyone has seen the altercation between the pirates and the boarding Githyanki, and the outcome is usually the Githyanki dominate the pirates. Not this one time when the pirates clogged the board and stalled the Githyanki. This lead to an all out brawl, and which lead to the death of several pirates and Githyanki. In any case the Ettin killed Miranda in this load up.

The Underdark

The air and earth elemental portals are cleared but the Balor is a much more difficult proposition. To fight the Balor, Lady Miranda had to take certain drastic action, she had to hide and rest away from the Balor in order to defeat it as well as use the choke point so that the Balor would waste all the hold and paralyze spell on herself. Numerous abeit desperate attempts to insect plague, creeping doom, firestorm, nature's beauty, and even lightning bolt from a staff proved utterly worthless. The Balor himself is able to take down her summons quite easily. There's not much Lady Miranda can do but rest and resummon and repeat. The Balor has only his opening stun and hold spells, after that, the coast is almost clear however every swipe he takes he also causes fear of some kind. The elementals and the efreeti finally take him down after probably two rests.

One of the drow merchants sells magic protection and magic shielding potions, and here I thought there was only one set. Very interesting. Lady Miranda also acquires the staff of earth, completing her collection of elemental staff summoners.

Escape from the Underdark

After a turbulent trial in the underdark, Lady Miranda escapes, still a level 14 druid. She goes to the druid grove to see if the missions are active, but they are not. I don't think she will be getting the lion at all. One of the mercenaries at Delosar Inn has a throwing dagger that Lady Miranda can use. I'm not sure whether to allow her to use it because kensais are forbidden to use missile weapons but I will think about it.

The Level 15 Druid

There is an incredible leap of power between level 14 and level 15. And there might as well be considering how long Lady Miranda spent at level 14. Suffering through the underdark at level 14 was hard enough, but going through Bodhi's dungeon as a level 14 too? It was only till Lady Miranda landed the final blow on Bodhi(Drizzt killed her the first time around thus no whopping 91k xp) that she leveled up finally. An influx of level 7 spells...etc, got her up to speed on everything. Gained a deva on her first HLA, got to 16 quickly enough and chose earth elemental transformation just to see how it was in the grand scheme of things. She will probably choose elemental summoning next, and perhaps energy blades after, this is just to see if the kensai can actually use energy blades, which hopefully kensais can. The transformation doesn't seem all that special, it only has twenty strength, no resistances, however maybe it will come in handy one of these days.

I'd need to double check, but I seem to recall that the Fire Elemental transform has higher strength (22?). If you go evil hell trial I think the strength boost stacks on top of that too.

Also, while it sounds like it is a bit too late a drow in the Underdark sells "Fire Tooth" the throwing dagger (not "Firetooth" the crossbow) which is probably the magic throwing dagger of choice due to the additional fire damage.

I'm guessing it has a lower con then the earth transformation though right? At this moment however I'm not even sure if this is useful, the transformation at all...but again I don't really know since I haven't really fiddled with it. If I need higher strength, it would be the fire giant belt, which is the highest STR belt anyhow. Storm giant potions(six of them now) will certainly help me as well.

If I'm going to use a throwing dagger, it might as well not have fire damage though because I'm thinking Yaga Shura would be immune to it. In any case it's alright, not going to lose sleep over it. Much bigger things to worry about then a throwing dagger. Maybe energy blades will work with kensai damage and not suck. Who knows.

Okay, having messed around with it a bit:

Both forms give you the same CON and DEX. Fire Elemental form gives 23 STR vs 20 STR for Earth Elemental form, but Earth Elemental form gives you an extra attack per round. Of course, Fire Elemental also gives +100 fire resist.

That extra attack might actually make Earth Elemental form more attractive for a fighter type than I anticipated. Even the high level single-class Totemic I tested with was able to get up to 4 attacks per round with Belm in the off-hand. Which would make, what, 4.5 apr with Gauntlets of Extraordinary Specialization and then 9 apr with improved haste? Ultimately the real appeal of the transformation HLA's is that they aren't spells, so they don't compete for slots and you can keep selecting them even after you have all the "Quest" spells.  They certainly don't completely replace what you can accomplish with TOB equipment, just give you a few more options for what you wear.

As for daggers, not that it matters really but I think the fire portion of Fire Tooth's damage is pretty small. Certainly small enough that I'd still throw it at Yaga Shura if for some reason that was the only weapon I had.

Reticent: The earth transformation ability is turning out to be really incredible. More on this later though. I'm wondering if the AC is set, or it can be stacked from other abilities, not that AC really matters in ToB, it's just interesting.

I'm pretty sure AC stacks with some things It certainly stacks with the AC from single weapon style at least (if you aren't using an off-hand weapon).

Improved Guarded Compound

The guarded compound in the temple district takes a few tries to do, mainly because Koshi kept stunning Lady Miranda, and I couldn't get a good enough distraction to get nature's beauty off. Nature's beauty finishes this match up very well. Sion the wizard however is immune to it through magic resistance. To begin the battle, Lady Miranda goes up to the very northeast corner of the room and sets up three fire elementals. Kettle is there to try and backstab Miranda, but ironskins deflects it. True sight stops Kettle's invisibility quite well, but Sion's constant timestops wears it out eventually. Kettle falls eventually, and two earth elementals join in the fight through the single elemental summoning(HLA) that Lady Miranda chose at level 17. The priest has a million heals but getting off a crucial insect plague will allow Lady Miranda to close in and blind him with nature's beauty. All enemies except Sion are now blinded, but Sion himself is depleted of most spells. The skeleton warriors follow Lady Miranda into the southeast room, where she sticks Deva on them as well as the lesser air elemental(from staff). The Deva eventually goes off to kill the priest and I think she does eventually kill him but gets unsummoned so she can't finish the job on Sion. No matter, Lady Miranda transforms into an earth elemental and drinks a regenerating potion and finishes off the rest of the enemies soundly. Helps when they are all blind and can't really react to an opponent running away. The Lady also gets down to -9AC while in this form.

Kangaxx the Demi-Lich

Around this time, Lady Miranda regained her kensai abilities, which admittingly gave her an incredible power boost.

Gathering Gaxx's parts were easy. Lady Miranda opted to take along the protection from undead scroll as well, so Gaxx could not target her(in his demi-lich form). The battle began with Miranda summoning the fire prince, and this fire prince was able to smash through Gaxx the lich's defenses. The efreeti in the bottle also proved effective in this battle. Once Gaxx turned demi-lich, Miranda used the scroll imediately. Miranda did not have a weapon which could effectively hit Gaxx, and while she could travel to Watcher's Keep and get Usano's blade, she opted to try out the earth elemental transformation, and this worked. I guess the transformation hits at a level above +3, allowing her to kill Gaxx in his demi-lich form. I guess if there are more protection from undead scrolls to be found, other vicious undead can be dealt with in a similar fashion.

Firkraag and Constar

Firkraag and his pet mage were up next. The famed greater wolfweres had to be put down by the pet control unfortunately. Lady Miranda offered her services of course. A large group of vampires caused minor havoc, nothing nature's beauty and firestorm couldn't solve. The golems were plowed down, with the ring of gaxx casting improved haste as Lady Miranda can get up to 9apr, quite decent really. Eventually, Firkraag and Constar get together to play dynamic duo against Lady Miranda. Getting the aura HLA allowed Miranda to get fire resistance.

Once hostilities were announced between Firkraag and Lady Miranda, the fight was on. Firkraag stayed his ground quite literally, didn't bother to follow up on his wing buffet. Constar however did, and he met up with Miranda's friend the Deva. Miranda launched one of her numerous dispel magic at him, and then followed up with a few whacks laying Constar down for good.

Once more using improved haste, Miranda started laying into Firkraag, and pretty soon he too was down for the count. Miranda went back to save the child, and then Windspear Hills was complete. A couple more things to do before Miranda goes to the finale, sell the ton of loot to Ribald and clear out the beholder and mindslaver dens in the underdark to get the appropriate items(greenstone ammy and mindcontrol circlet). Should be interesting. Probably will not do twisted rune, would probably have to go slayer form or use up one of the storm giant potions and I'm just not really willing.

Beholder Den in Underdark

The quest for the greenstone amulet proved more of a testing ground for level seven spells. Beholders are easily taken care of with fire storm and fire resistances in combination. They will come after Lady Miranda and run into the storm. Mindflayers on the other hand can be handled with energy blades and summons. Chaotic commands nullifies more of the important psionic assaults(if not all?). Next up is mindflayer circlet.

Illithid Den in the Underdark

This den of Illithid was cleared with fire elementals and energy blades. Miranda used Slayer form to open one of the doors, until I realized I could get to the room with the circlet makers already. This allowed Miranda to see how good she was in slayer form, so maybe that was perplexing to some extent. Note, normal mindflayers must be used, not the ultraillthid type. There's not much to say, two circlets remained, really only one is needed.

Selling the loot

Over the course of several days, one hundred fifty something, Lady Miranda has collected several items. Several of the high value items are sold to Ribald as he pays alot more after the underdark is completed. Lady Miranda accumulates around 300k amount of gold after the great selloff.

First Battle with Irenicus

The first battle with Jon Irenicus had Lady Miranda using dispel magic extensively. Deva was mazed however she returned to the battlefield to deal some more damage to Irenicus. Lady Miranda ended the fight with energy blades.

Tears of Bhaal

Lady Miranda chose all the good path for the tears of the bhaal. She thought very much and was tempted to go into rage against Sarevok, but then she decided that it was not worth it after all.

Second Battle with Irenicus

The demon allies of irenicus proved to be quite troublesome but not insurmountable for Lady Miranda. The lone Deva summoned was quickly disposed of by the demons, but using the kai ability, and plenty of ironskins, Lady Miranda ended all the demons. Eventually Slayer Irenicus is defeated and Lady Miranda is victorious.

Some ending notes on SoA: Thought about taking the extra strength, but decided against it. A RP holdover. One of these days I will take it but not right now.

Illasera's Assault

Summoning elemental princes,a deva, and a few fire elementals, Lady Miranda was able to counter Illasera. The Deva and friends clogged Illasera up, and Miranda downed her with energy blades.

Dealing with Gromnir

Miranda finished dealing with Kiser, and completed various other quests. She upgraded the cloak of protection +2, and then headed to a showdown with Gromnir. She used up one of her five remaining storm giant potions to break the locked doors in the sewers, and found another one off one of the fighters leading up to Gromnir.

Having 24 strength is quite the asset, and she used this against Gromnir.

Upon confronting Gromnir, Melly was there and she badgered off something, Miranda was not listening at all. Gromnir became hostile, and Lady Miranda immediately went up to him and used nature's beauty. This blinded Gromnir, the animal(or animals?) near him, and the named wizard close by him. Next thing Miranda did was summon deva and take out the closest named enemy. A few more enemies popped up, some nasty named dryad or sucubus tried to flesh to stone Miranda, she was taken out next. The earth elemental prince came out(he hits on dispel I think) and he took out that blinded named wizard(he can also see invisibility). Deva and the efreeti summon helped kill the minotaur cleric. A blinded Gromnir struggled against the Deva and Earth prince as Miranda joined in the fight. He went down pretty quickly, and Melly showed up talking some nonsense about Yaga Shura.

The final enemy was the battle mage, and this mage tried to melee the Deva(using phantom blade). Eventually Miranda got around to casting dispel magic on the mage and I believe the Deva killed the wizard in one hit, and then immediately unsummoned afterwards. A fitting end.

Watcher's Keep

Apparently Druids cannot use Usano's blade +4. So Lady Miranda's decision to buy the Yamato +4 in Saradush was very prudent. Dual wielding belm allows for two weapons at speed factor 0.

Storm of Vengeance is proving quite the bug spray in the early levels of Watcher's Keep. It kills trolls, statues, and all the manner of low level scum that Lady Miranda doesn't need to tear apart in one on one battle. It makes the early levels much quicker to pass. The sceptors on the second level were acquired with haste. The chromatic demon didn't take too long for Lady Miranda to defeat. One 'harm' pretty much did this guy in. No fuss at all.

The third level of Watcher's Keep is uneventful. Most of the more dangerous rooms were skipped altogether. White dragon scales were not needed because Lady Miranda can't even wear armor. Took a few times to get spectral brand. The key is to bargain the sceptor and nothing else because lack of high draw. Lady Miranda defeated only one party of demons this time, and it wasn't very difficult what with nature's beauty.

Battle with Saladrex

This was an interesting battle as Saladrex actually does things. Lady Miranda probably should have used protection from fire after the lower resis from Saladrex, but in the end it did not matter as she used it anyways. There's a choke point at the stairway, but Saladrex's firebreath can still land. The earth prince comes to Lady Miranda's aide. Eventually Lady Miranda gets off nature's beauty on Saladrex and he is blinded and is apparently at a severe disadvantage. Lady Miranda downs him in no time. She later upgrades staff of ram, and equips it to experiment a bit.

Lady Miranda is currently at level 5 of Watcher's Keep. I've kind of stalled out a bit, but getting spectral brand(already have this) and club of detonation should prove useful in the future.

Alright time for an update, was distracted by sidequests(Baldur's gate) so here it is
Last of the Red Orbs: The Greater Wolfweres

In level five of Watcher's Keep, there is a kind of device which summons in various creatures to defeat. The last of the red orbs summons in greater wolfweres. These creatures were very dangerous back in Firkraag's dungeon, but they get carved up nicely by Lady Miranda here. She uses one of her improved haste from Gaxx for greater effect.

Last of the Green Orbs: The Beholders

This proved to be extremely difficult, until Lady Miranda found out that energy blades kills Hive Mothers like a knife through butter. The Elder Orb and Death Tyrant proved no match for firestorm but the Hive Mother, after several exhaustive tries, fell to energy blades quickly. The key is interrupting the Hive Mother before she can whip out her eye attacks.

First Key Battle

The first key opened up a party of very difficult opponents for Lady Miranda. Initial attempts included firestorm, nature's beauty, and storm of vengeance and all this coupled with fire elementals. This did really no good at all. The Deva and the elemental princes were simply taken out by these foes. Firestorm did oh so much damage. Nature's beauty was impractical and the enemies had high magic resistance. The Hive Mother that comes along with them made things exceedingly difficult. Her eye attacks not only disrupted Lady Miranda's spellcasting but also her attempts to run off. At one point Lady Miranda donned the cloak of mirroring to deal with this problem. In a no reload, the cloak or some other kind of beholder protection is necessary, the Hive Mother mandates it. After all these failed attempts, Lady Miranda changed gears a bit. The solution to the problem was energy blades.

Rod of resurrection was used in this battle because of the high rate of damage the Hive Mother deals. The Hive Mother is the main problem to this party and Lady Miranda had to find a way to deal with it. The other problem was the charming sucubus. After running around frantically, trying to evade a corner from the numerous skeletons summoned by the band of enemies, Lady Miranda made her way to the Orb room, and the Hive Mother and the sucubus were there for a party. Lady Miranda started tossing energy blades at the sucubus very quickly, she kills the sucubus in due time, while escaping the horde of skeletons(they do no damage to Miranda but they can clog her and box her in). Now for some reason, this happened before in the previous beholder battle, the Hive Mother remained behind. Whatever the case, Lady Miranda took this to her advantage, she didn't realize this until after her second whip around the Orb room confirmed this. She had wanted to take out the Hive Mother with energy blades once the protections wore off, but this wasn't even necessary as the Hive Mother stayed put(as stated earlier). The drow cleric/ranger or druid, whatever she was cast numerous amounts of insect plagues, easily evaded by Lady Miranda until she ran in the northeast corner of the room(the warrior spirit one). From there Lady Miranda began to target this drow enemy with energy blades and eventually with Yamato and belm. The drow went down in no time, as the Huntress(her arrows are harmless I do not know of her sword however), the marileth, and some kind of dual wielding fighter, possibly a kensai. To provide a distraction, the fire elemental prince is summoned and he distracts the marileth. The marileth(who loves to stoneskin herself and has fireshield red erected) was bombarded with several energy blades until she stoneskinned once more, and Lady Miranda then concentrated her effort against the dual wielding fighter. Once the energy blades ran out, Lady Miranda ran up to the fighter and started laying down the scimitars. This fighter went down, and then the next target was the Huntress. She fell quickly, and all which remained was the named Marileth and Hive Mother.

The fire prince was unsummoned, and Miranda took his place whacking the marileth. Soon enough, the marileth was killed, and all which remained was the Hive Mother. Using rod of ressurection charges to refuel herself, she managed to outduel the Hive Mother. Thus ended the first major battle of the keys.
The next key unleashed a lich named Azmantes and three flame skulls upon Lady Miranda. With one casting of protection from fire, Lady Miranda was able to heal while being hit by any kind of fire damage. Azmantes himself was downed by energy blades.

The last key battle, involved several spirits. The Deva and Fire prince were able to provide adequate distractions, long enough for this spirit party to be eliminated.

Battle with Demogorgon(original)

I think that this particular battle would certainly enjoy simulacrum, but Lady Miranda unfortunately cannot wear Vhailor's helm. Deva and the elemental prince a certainly a great duo, and they manage to help Lady Miranda take out the initial demon pack that demogorgon summons, but Lady Miranda needs to retreat out to the portal to rest. Energy blades has proven mightily effective in this battle and has brought demogorgon down to 'near death', but his constant demon summons and dangerous spells(dragon's breath/earthquake) are severely taxing.
Decide to retreat to an earlier save and come back for Demogorgon when Lady Miranda acquires the rod of reversal(or whatever it is called).

Marching Mountains
The great and mighty fire giants, or at least they supposively are. Lady Miranda has a few scuffles with the ones outside, but once she got use to fighting them, they got torn apart quite easily. The fire giants in the entrance faced off with a kensai druid that could send in energy blades in a most deadly fashion. The two hearts were procured, and nature's beauty performed spectacularly in this little dungeon.

Battle with Yaga-Shura
Lady Miranda used ironskin and nature's beauty very extensively. Yaga Shura can be blinded as well as his cohorts and Lady Miranda used this towards her advantage. There's not much else to say about this battle, with Yaga Shura blinded, he was easily taken down.

Selling loot

Along the way to Balthazar's town, Lady Miranda disposes of the Tethyrian army and gathers all their chain mail +3, full plate armor, bows, staves, and spears to sell in the Smuggler's cave. Lady Miranda ends up with well over 500k gold. She proceeds to Sendai's Enclave to get the amulet of cheetah speed(another improved haste) and she ends up acquiring the rod that ends spell protections in the smuggler's cave.

Sendai's Enclave

There is a tricky point where a Hive Mother shows up. Lady Miranda curses aloud, as Hive Mothers have proven yet again to be the toughest 'unnamed' enemy. Just shove a Hive Mother in a party, and it becomes grotesquely powerful. Well actually she could have used cloak of mirroring but she decided against it. The other enemies, a vampire, some kind of cornugen, and a demon knight are a cakewalk. Dyatha(spelling?) herself sends insect plague and creeping doom down Lady Miranda's way, but this only makes Lady Miranda retreat and just drink healing potions. Hive Mother is taken out last once all her protections wear off. No need to waste any precious charges on the rod.
