I support this movement. I'm not too interested in character discussions and hate to see the strategy threads being pushed out of first page.

The Warhammer Boards seems to have a fairly decent setup with subforums. Considering the simplicity of this separation, it shouldn't be as cluttered either.

I would be fine if they just gave us a strategy subforum and left the character threads here. As long as we can get a spot for strategy where we're not bumped off the page and still in forum format, I'm fine.

I'm hoping this doesn't come across as an attack on character support threads. I simply think that the strategy threads are of a distinctly different flavor from the character support threads and they should have never been moved together.

I think character threads do deserve their own forum, possibly including fan works as well, as those tend to be about the characters as well.

Also, I think there is something to be said about how those who visit character threads tend to go to the same thread over and over. It's all contained in one place. There is no "Strategy Talk - Weapons" that contains every discussion possible about weapons. That's just not how strategy discussion works.

At first I don't think it was a big issue... but then all these threads about characters started popping up that should have belonged in a character thread. Furthermore they are always the same topics. I like both character support threads and strategy threads... just not together in the same subforum.

Oh, I didn't take it as such at all. Did I seem to? If that's the case, my apologies.
I only meant to say that, separating Character from Strategy ought to be a relatively simple operation, because they are completely disparate in every sense of the word.

Nah, it's more of my anticipatory response for the character support thread posters who might happen into this thread and think I'm attacking them. Maybe I shouldn't have quoted you on that, it's just your post got me thinking about it somehow.

Sign me up! I enjoy both character support threads and strategy threads, but the former makes the latter too difficult to find.

I agree.  While I have spent some time in the various character discussion threads, and have enjoyed the time I spent there (for the most part), I think that strategy discussions and character discussions are two different entities that don't mesh very well with each other.  I am completely in favor of a sub-forum for one of the two groups, either the character discussion threads, or the strategy specific threads.  

I want to say that I have no issue with the character threads in and of themselves, I just wish strategy discussion and character discussion were separated.  It would make it easier for everyone.

Add me as well. Strategy is important. It's the reason I joined this forum. It's a crime that character threads drown gameplay topics, that a large number of people are interested in.
