a lot of the threads seem to be OT, but don't close because those actually wanting to talk about characters open a new thread anyway. move along for those interested in strategy.
if you really want to be anal, i say close all the threads and let people take their 'discussions' to the groups section- like the NSAS. spam all you want in there.

It might, but I think the reduction won't be too noticeable. Those with the most animosity toward the threads are always going to be vocal about it, I'm afraid. True for any hate around these forums, though, isn't it?Chimervera wrote...

Still, at least I can claim appeasement to my OCD nature on this one. I don't hate you, character threads! I just think the mods moving you next to strategy was wrong. It makes no sense. Make sense.

While I would not use such a forum myself much, I'll sign as well as I do know that many people get tried of wading through the character threads to discuss strategy. And then even when they do enter a character thread they often get drowned out simply because they are someone new that nobody in the thread has heard of before. I always thought a good arrangement would be something like "character analysis forum" "story, plotline, and morality choice analysis forum" "combat, classes, weapons, and strategy forum."

I've said many times in the past, that the problem with the character support threads is not that they exist, but that they are so numerous and busy. They crush out almost all other aspects in a forum that isn't dedicated to them. I was really disappointed with the mods when they decided that to "FIX" the problem created in the main forum by the support threads was to move them to another forum INSTEAD of giving them their own forum.
I hope that the mods FINALLY realize that this problem isn't going away, and needs to be addressed. Hopefully Chis or Stanley will step up and make the right decision rather than just locking this thread, and calling it fixed.

This problem might also help with trolling in the character threads. A troll would really have to be going out of their way to find and annoy people if these threads had their own forum.
