Does this mean that a bug fix for allies somehow moving onto a space occupied by an ally is still unfinished? I've already sent a bug report describing it in detail, I hope it didn't fail to arrive. Image IPB

Hi, I dont know if this a bug or not but when I face the guy with blue flame on his head (forgot his nae lol) his dispear and then the game just stops. Has anyone been getting that bug?

I had that problem too. Just hit TAB till it highlights where his dialog was. The hit ENTER.

That worked for me.

oh noes, i've beaten journeys with a warrior, a rogue and a mage but  was not rewarded with "mighty magic" achievement, the humanity!!!

looks like one, or two of my play through did not register with the server, and since i don't know which one, how do i know which class to play again to get that freakin achievement?

also, the ogrerific achievement keeps getting taken away from me, arghhhh...

10hrs down the drain.

I've been wondering about all these stuff saving errors, is the game telling the player something is saved AS the save info is goin to the game server? If so, that's a bad strategy, because the save info could fail to get to the server & get lost after the data save confirmation, then the game could be turned off, thus causing the save data to be permanently lost as if the attempt to save 1st hadn't happened, causing these inconsistencies. Perhaps it would be better for the game save data to get to the server 1st, get saved, then send the save confirmation to the player, AFTER it is indeed fully secure?

I mean no offense to ya, Bioware. You work long hard hours everyday, & in such conditions, ANYTHING could accidentially get overlooked, including strategy faults. I'm just tryin to brainstorm about this in an attempt to be helpful. Image IPB (Also more time killing to aid in game release waiting. Image IPB)

Finally got everything working, finished it with all three characters, all achievements and items unlocked, 363 enemies slain. Good game! I liked it, looking forward to the next chapter.

Same problem here.  Even went to reloading all my saves and beating the last fight again, still nothing.  annoying.

Tyrax, BioWare didn't make it, EA 2D did. If you click on the credits button in the main menu, you'll see that there were only 7 people working on it. Considering that, I'm suprised it's as good as it is. There's room for improvement, certainly, but it's pretty good overall.



SKRemarks, I also had to send off an e-mail and post a few things in their survey. XD One thing I saw, but forgot to tell them about was the skill Telekenetic Weapons [sic]. They got it right in the description, but messed up the title. Oh well, though, it's obvious they spent most of their time on the art and combat, and everyone makes spelling errors from time to time.

Didn't know EA made this. I never bothered with the credits. (I mean no offense by this.)
Add me to the list of people having trouble with the surveys. I filled out & sent the 1st survey, (from the title screen.) & saw the game acknowledge it, yet today, when I continued my log, I spotted the 1st survey credit gone. The game is now swearing to me that i've never taken a survey. Did it fail to arrive? Image IPB

I find myself wondering if EA has subpar skill at survey making & use. Image IPB

I've just finished my final playthrough and very much enjoyed the game - however I encountered a weird bug.

During the find Martine quest, after I had won a battle against 2 Deep Stalkers, a 'Victory' window popped up, and the following happened: the two characters I had in my party automatically leveled up from level 2 to 6 (along with their respective talent points); 56 items were deposited into my inventory (ranging from weapons to armor to shields, belts, rings jewelry and robes - some with multiple copies of the same thing, though they stacked on top of one another and therefore were only classified as 1 item); and 5 gold pieces were added to my money. When I encountered Martine a little time later, she automatically leveled to level 6 as well. After that, when my first character leveled up to 7, the other two automatically leveled up as well, despite the fact that Martine's level bar was less than 1/8th full.

Don't know if it has happened to anyone else - but thought i'd mention it. Must be the first bug I've come across that has had a positive impact on my game.

The Mighty Magic achievement didn't work for me. I just finished my third game.

Also, the saves seem to be messed up. I saved my last game in the third slot and although it says it was successful, the time and date says otherwise.

I just got the mighty magic achievement and unlocked the helmet. I had to go back and play the last battle of my rogue and mage playthroughs again, but it did work this time.

On my latest (!!!) play through and the smugglers tunnel quest has a bug where the quest does not advance when you walk onto the marker at the abandoned camp. :(

I'm having the same problem. Tried restarting, logging off and on, going back to town and back to the smugglers camp, wandering around in circles... nothing seems to work.

This appears to have been resolved, also my progress as changed to 75% as it started out at 50% before I'd done anything! I think it is now accurate! Fast work gentlemen.

My Bard's Song of Valor ability has disappeared from his talents list and from the quickslot it was in.



Same in both autosave and server-saved games. They were saved yesterday under 1.31

The "surveys" have been very annoying. I've done 2 that have not been recorded. The War amulet is still sitting at 1/3. I'm not really out to get the items for DA:O though, so I really dont care that much. I've had quite a bit of fun playing DA:J.

Also, I've turned off "blood" several times.. but the setting keeps getting reset.

Saves:

Saved get reverted sometimes. The biggest was just now, after defeating "each" of the Ogres I saved in a different slot. Then when I got back to town after down so, I saved in town. I quit, came back, brought up the load screen and found all my saved games gone. What was there instead had been reverted back to a point before I'd even cleared the area around the first Ogre, let alone fought it.

I suppose I could have forgot to save in town, when I quit. I definitely did not forget to save after fighting the Ogres though, and I especially did not forget to do so three times in a row. The idea I forgot it pretty ridiculous anyways since I'm the sort of nut case that saves after almost every fight.

In addition, this isn't even the first time it has happened, it's just the first time it's happened in such a sweeping manner.

Mana:

Spells cost to much mana, for their effects in many cases. This actually goes for Warrior/Rogues as well, though they don't use mana. Mana, in addition, has an almost worthless rate of restoration leaving you to chug mana potions almost every other turn. This is not fun in the least. I assume this is why Mana potions are so cheap, but . . . at that point, well, what is the point? Balancing around the idea I'm going to chug a mana potion every other turn is not fun or even reasonable.

Magic:

So, the spells cost a ton and your mana doesn't regenerate very quickly. So the spells must be really effective to call for that, right? Nope. The majority of spells in journeys are weak, worthless or both. There are only a few spells I'd say are good, and most of them are curative spells.  Offensive spells that are exceptions to this are those like "Mind Blast" but it's not the damage component that makes it useful, it's the stun and knock back. There are other exceptions as well, but they are the minority.

This is then made worse by my melee characters being able to strut up, bash something with a  'base' attack for double or even triple the amount one of those spells hit for - while paying nothing. That's not even counting if they use a special ability, which case they'd do even more.

Achievements:

Achievements disapear sometimes. Sometimes they reappear. Sometimes they don't. The Unlocks all seem to stay at least, so this may be a purely graphical glitch.

Combat:

Occasionally during combat you'll click abilities to use, and then be reverted back to the "walk" option when trying to target an enemy. It's not game breaking, but it is really annoying.

All the same, while the above annoy me . . . I'm actually enjoying Journey's quite a lot. It's a fun little game, and overall . . . I actually prefer something like this to a demo of a full game. Between DA:J and the Character Creator, I really do anticipate the release of DA:O. Little things aside DA:J offers some fun moments, a couple of memorable characters, and if I forget the magic imbalances . . . some moderately interesting combat. I'd like a bit more dialogue, more options to flesh out the characters . . . but again those are more little things. It's a pretty solid game when it's not reverting my saved games.
