Wow, I must admit, I'm getting a lot more support here then I thought. Still, we're nowhere close to the million or so it'll probably take to get BioWare's attention, so keep the support rolling people!

Zaeed should definitely be a squadmate in Me3. he is just too bad ass to not fight the Reapers. sure, he has a ton of money from TIM, but it is useless if everybody is enslaved by the Reapers.

Indeed, Reapers don't care how rich you are, they still want to kill you. Zaeed in ME3 is frankly the more logical decision when compared to a Zaeed-less game.

Exactely. I would like to know how the whole Vido situation will work out in the next game. if you let him get away, it would provide a future mission for Zaeed and Shep to go on.

Yes, more Zaeed is definitely required, be that in ME3 or some upcoming DLC. Preferably both.

Would it be a feasable Dlc idea for a diolog wheel for Zaeed(and Kasumi even though I hate her).
He can still keep all his diolog around the room, Jessie, the Krogan helmat, ect. It would provide much more insite to his character.
Or Bioware could just do that for the GOTY edition of ME2.

I know, the only thing that Zaeed was missing was the dialog wheel. I don't have Kasumi as of yet, but I'd still support the addition of a dialog wheel for her too. It's one of those things that makes Mass Effect, well, Mass Effect.

I'd have to admit that I don't like Zaeed much, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take him as a squadmate in ME3 though.
I'm probably overthinking things, but a few issues probably need to be sorted out before that can happen.
(1) In ME2 he has to be loyal, regardless of how he becomes loyal.
(2) Shepard's relationship with Cerberus, and hence TIM, after the Collector base decision.
If kept, TIM continues to pay Zaeed and he stays on with Shepard regardless of loyalty.
If destroyed, but TIM works with Shepard, continues to pay Zaeed regardless of loyalty.
If destroyed and TIM doesn't work with Shepard, TIM doesn't pay Zaeed which might then depend on his loyalty to Shepard.
(3) Zaeed survives the suicide mission.
(4) Zaeed was recruited.
Hm....I'm just ruining things, aren't I? I'll bugger off.

No no, you aren't ruining anything! Support, even iffy support, is still support, and we need all the support we can get!

Awesome, more supporters! If we can get just a hundred or so people on board, we might actually get this thing going!

So it took me a while to warm up to Zaeed, but he's grown on me. In my most recent playthrough I've taken him along on most of the missions. I'm not exactly sure why - maybe it's his general bad-assery, neato accent, or monocular vision? Also, he is a good balance for my almost 100% paragon Shep. And unlike most of the other characters, he doesn't get angsty on his loyalty mission, he just gets pissed.

I know, right? At first you see that he's cool, and you respect that, but later on he grows on you and you become more and more attached to this character who somehow managed it all with no real dialogue to speak of! ME3 presents an opportunity to bring him back with more dialogue, a bigger role in the plot, all sorts of things!

Zaeed isn't quite as three-dimensional as some of the other characters, so he might not be returning in ME3. Of course, not every character needs an epic backstory or complicated set of motivations. Zaeed's in it for the money and makes that clear from right when you meet him.
And he's amazing.
And he's amazing.

Indeed, and really I think his backstory is explained rather well via the items in his room. Generally he's a character that if you want to like him and learn about him, all the required info is just a short dig away, but if you don't like or want to like him, you probably won't go ahead and learn about him. A likable character for those who like him.

Actually I feel that Zaeed is one of the more complex characters as everything's not spelled out for you right away.
When you first meet him he tells you that he accepted this mission due to Cerberus's deep pockets. However, listening to his dialogue during missions and to his stories in between missions makes it fairly clear he's not just a merc for hire. Unfortunately a lot of people saw "no dialogue wheel" and didn't bother from there.
Vido staged his coup of the Blue Suns because Zaeed didn't want to work with Batarians, whom he considered terrorists. His post-Blue Suns stories show that Zaeed spent his career going after criminals, pirates and slavers. He's not a saint but he's not exactly the cold-blooded killer some think he is.
I think he's an interesting character. If you talk to Zaeed after the events on Horizon, he'll tell you about a little girl that he rescued from slavers. "8-years old," he tells you, "She'd have had no chance on Horizon." I find that to be a fascinating moment in the game. We've just returned from a human colony on which we witnessed the abduction of the majority of the colonists. Instead of swearing vengeance on the Collectors or asking for a pay raise, Zaeed chooses to reminisce about a child he encountered years ago. That's not exactly the thoughts of some random gun-for-hire.

I am certain that Zaeed will be returning, but I see his role in ME3 as an auxiliary one at most.
