Matriarc Aetheta......  how many here would tell Liara to just **** off?


just saying I would get rid of nearly any character (aside for Tali but ESPECIALLY Liara) in order to have her on my squad or even just in the normandy as an info dump character....she is just so awesome!

Im not a Liara fan (I cheated on her with Miranda) but you have to admit that this is a very, very bad idea.

Plus, the devs already announced that she'll be a squadi in ME3, along with Virmire's survivor.

uh?? why is that? from what wer have been told in the Lair of the Shadow Broker you CAN break things up with Liara (or so says the alleged Bioware employee who has always been right so far)...if that is the case perhaps interest will shift toward someone else for her "role".

And I'd rather have the lovely bartender over Liara any day (just like many would just love to ditch jack or jacob at the first occasion for someone else)

That said, I have to agree that the asari-krogan bartender is awesome and I would gladly replace one of my lesser liked squaddies with her.. But it would never happen, because everyone has different ideas of what 'least favorite' means.

there are really only two people i can think of who are lesser and they are jacob and zaeed

How does an OP that expresses the desire to tell Liara to "**** off" not constitute trolling? Why even single Liara specifically out? Why even create a thread like this in the first place?

To say that this thread is not designed to arouse ire and to be confrontational and abrasive is naive in the extreme.

I do because in every ME game so far there is always only ONE member of each alien specie as a squadmate.....therefore if the Matriarc had to replace someone it would HAVE to be Liara....like Kaal Reeger would HAVE to replace Tali (hypotetically) unless in ME3 they are going to break the mold and allow more members of each  specie

 as for telling her to **** off......that's just to emphasyze one's willingness to send her away in favor of someone else (the matriarc) the fact I dislike how Liara has turned out in ME2 has no influence on this aside for the fact that if "I" personally had to choose I any of my squaddies to be airlocked in favor of the bartender it would be her

Because Liara is not a real person? Seriously, I've heard people say worse about Jack. Because they have strong feelings about the character, not because they're making a calculated attempt to ****** people off.

Popular opinion? No. Badly worded? Yes. But I still don't think it's technically trolling, and no need for people to take it personally.

Man, you are hurting my brain. Liara is a character who is fairly central to the story. She is not being "replaced" or removed from the universe. She is also not a squad member in ME2.

The squad in ME3 could be literally anyone. We know nothing about this so far. So sure, a random bartender character with no skills that we are aware of is going to be part of the team that Sheppard takes to destroy the reapers. That sounds totally logical.

You know if you get past all the crazy LI fandoms not one of them gets as mad as the Liara fandom .

I would be hugely suprised if there was not some sort of payoff for those who chose not to explore the romance options of ME2, and "stayed true" to Liara. But maybe that's just me.

Yeah, true...but this BW employee also said that those that did not romance her in ME1 will get another chance in this DLC...I kind of like that, as my second Shepard has no LI from either ME1 or ME2.  But, we shall see.
