Infiltrator, because it's got
pretty much every range covered. Long-range? Snipe. Mid-range?
Pistol/SMG. Close-range? Cloak, sprint, and make the enemy eat a thermal
clip's worth of SMG bullets, with some melee tossed in for good
measure.
It can also take down every defense if you grab
Warp Ammo as your bonus, without straying from roleplay (e.g. putting
Reave on a non-biotic.) Infiltrator is my second favorite.

Engineer. Everything just seems easier for me by comparison with the other classes. The Engineer, with an appropriate bonus power, has a tool for every situation and every type of defense. Combat Drone trivializes fights with Harbingers, YMIRs, Geth Primes, and even Scions. Timed properly, a drone can lock down a Scion for its entire duration - very handy on the Collector Ship. Take the Mattock with you as a bonus weapon and you win.
I think the drone always locks down Scions for the whole duration. Don't know what it is about them, but Scions really don't know what to do when they see a drone. "What's this now? I better stand here a while and stare at it."
I think drone is the most overpowered ability in the game. More so than adrenaline rush. Not only does it lock down pretty much any enemy, it's also entirely spammable due to the low cooldown. So it doesn't matter if it gets killed, just put up a new one.

Second has to be Solider ... Reverent All the why...people say they don't like that gun because of the kick... just aim lower and fire in controlled burst..
Sentinel have not played too much of it but I like it

I love biotics, and I like the thought you need to put in to play an adept. I can't get enough of warp explosions, pull, throw and singularity.
Anyway, I play these games for the powers, not so much for the shooting.
This may be a strange thing, but I prefer playing adept in ME2 especially on insanity. That may have been to do with crowd control being ridiculously easy (by endgame) in ME1, but actually killing enemies taking a long time. Now I find crowd control requires a little more effort, but taking out enemies being far easier.

The biggest boss that I've seen thus far? Shotgun Infiltrator.
