They probably ran out of time.

Definitely. But it's still strange they did. Bioware left out quite a lot of dialogue from the finished game, not just a few details. Take Legion: he was supposed to "be obsessed with Shepard", a recurring encounter, and they said so close to release.

So Bioware planned their schedule horribly or they realized there would have been too much to handle in ME3... but I still don't get it. Something's amiss. There's really too much left out.

I really, REALLY wonder why they leave all this audio unused. I mean, you see tons of unused scenes that could complicate the story more, or give more variation. Why not use it?

Thanks for all the work digging through the audio files and posting these for the community. I've thought for a long while that Jacob mouthing off at Thane was meant to set up a confrontation and wondered why it never developed. I'd love to hear from the devs why they backed away from doing more of these.

IMO there should have been confrontations like with Miranda/Jack and Tali/Legion for the entire squad. Sucks they didnt keep these

I don't want the rumor mill to crazy but do you think a Dialogue DLC pack could be in our future? I mean, we have the LofSB DLC coming out soon which was originally discovered through unused audio files. Maybe BioWare will decide to expand our games with a new Dialogue DLC.

I always felt that a confrontation between these two would have been a nice addition. Too bad they removed it

Ok, one more time. They probably ran out of time. they most likely had hundreds of ideas then the deadline started to come around (probably forced for released) and started removing ideas. Like all great ideas, it's pretty much a shell of what the team had envisioned. *Looks at KOTOR II*

Aw, maaaaaan. They should have left it in, it sounds awesome.

I'm still angry though that they've got all of ManShep's LIs in fights, and here they had another prepared for two non-LIs, and I still haven't heard any info for arguments with ANY of FemShep's LIs. Where's our extra dialogue? I wanted Garrus to have a confrontation so I could take his side. :(

I was all set to say "who would get into an argument amongst female Shepard's love interests?" and then I realized that that confrontation between Jacob and Thane shortly after his recruitment could have easily escalated. I don't think I could pick sides in that argument. I'm quite fond of both of them, Garrus fangirl though I am.

This is awesome.

It's a real shame that it didn't make the cut. As copy + paste as it might've been, more fights would have been better. Any squad interaction is better than close to none.

I'm beginning to hate you Diddy.  Your bringing so much stuff to our attention.  It's making me want all of it back in the game!  It's Kotor 2 all over again. (and yes I do know bioware didn't make that game)

Boooo.  What a shame this ended up cut also.

I honestly thought there would be more moments like this:  Jack vs. Miranda, Tali vs. Legion, possibly Thane vs. Jacob and now here's Grunt vs. Mordin.  The confrontations added to the game, it helped give us a sense of having all these different people from different professions / backgrounds / with different ideas and opinions and trying to get them all to work together - they're bound to get snarky at eachother.

Good find Didymos and thanks for posting them!

Man, bugs like Conrad's quest may have viable explanations for not being fixed (having to patch Mass Effect first, bugged import etc.), but this... I don't know. They rushed it? They're too lazy to patch it back, or simply don't want to, patches being free compared to DLC? Seriously, the dialogue is there. And they must have made at least preliminary testing cutscenes, as voice actors usually come last in the project.

Ah. At least it was great to hear what could've been in-game. Yet gain, my thanks, didymos!

Let's hope not, because that would be an utter insult to everyone who bought a legal copy. Patch, though... I'd like.

Look guys, they have a certain time to complete these games or you all complain about them. The unused audio is there incase they get around to patching the game to include it.

While it may be true that they only had so much time to spend on the game we do know that much of that was spent in the NO RPG phase. I think we could have done with less polish in gameplay and have more RPG elements (such as these cut dialogs) and BioWare would have had a much better game.  As to bringing them in in a patch? Why would they do that? What I could see them doing is near to the release of ME3 coming out with a GOLD EDITION of ME1 and ME2 that includes this kind of thing and charging us for it.

Besides, the more people complain about it, the bigger the chance for an actual patch. It's not like we're doing this to waste our own time, too, you understand.

What a shame that this wasn't in the game, if only you could find evidence of a Garrus vs Samara/Morinth (?) or a Jacob vs Thane fight.

Well, if anyone can do it, you can.

The only thing I don't get is why no one else has managed to find this stuff yet.

The no RPG phase meaning the game engine, sound, music, graphics and animations.  Just so others can reference.

... I'd buy it. Come on, it's better than what usually happens with games.. This kind of cut content usually doesn't make it to the end and that's the last you hear of it, period. Would I pay for ME2 all over again for more dialogue, and maybe a little more to have all the DLC included? Heck yeah, sign me up.

Fascinating. I had hoped for more interaction between them in the game, all things considered. Nice at least to hear part of what it would have been like.

Maybe they'll cut all the third part, just for lulz

Alas, this would've been cool to have. The thought of smacktalking with Mordin intrigues me.
