In Dragon Age: Origins PC players had the option to zoom the camera far out and play from a "tactical" perspective. This was a great feature and I, along with many others, used it for the majority of combat.

However, a major problem with this was that the camera seemed to leash to your currently selected character, meaning that the player could only move the camera so far away from their character before it would stop moving. This was likely to prevent players from simply exploring a whole area with the camera rather than moving their characters through it. But during combat it was common for enemy archers and mages to be shooting at the player while remaining off-screen, forcing the player to run into the unknown to be able to target them OR to temporarily switch to over-the-shoulder camera. This was a major problem for me.

So please, in DA 2 allow the player to have an unleashed tactical camera so that we can truly see the whole battlefield (or zoom it MUCH further out...or both :D) . To prevent players from searching the whole map with the camera just go back to Baldur's Gate style fog of war (though allow us to see fairly deep into it, if the fog ends up concealing archers/mages we have the same problem).

Did many of you players agree with this, or were you content to switch to over-the-shoulder or rush into the unknown?
