What do you think about this?
I mean, sure, It was great because I really needed to trade some weapons and do some "enchantment" but that poor little boy, what was he doing there? And where was his father?

Devs might think it would be useful to put some trader just before the last scene, but what is his story about being there, I would ask himself but, you know, he only knows one word

So what do you think?

It's hard to say, since all he says is "enchantment", except for a few rare occasions. I think Bioware just wanted to stick a merchant there and thought it would be funny to have Sandal standing there, surrounded by the corpses.



It would be nice to get some kind of scene showing Sandal kicking butt, as it would be entertaining to watch, but I wouldn't count on it.



Bodhan found Sandal in the deep roads, so who knows what happened before the two met.

I take solace in the fact that he can take care of himself, he was found in the deep roads and he survived there, and he obviously did well enough with those darkspawn, lol!



I'm betting his Dad is hiding somewhere letting Sandal take care of business, maybe his birth Mom was a silent sister or something and taught her her kid some moves, lol!

Of course, this also means Bohdan's to blame for the high darkspawn numbers. If he had left Sandal in the Deep Roads he could have culled their numbers down drastically. Probably could've killed the archdemon, even without being a Warden.

Sandal drove all of the Darkspawn away by just saying "Enchantment?" over and over. It eventually drove them insane and they killed each other because one side wanted to attack him but the other side didn't want to take the chance of being "enchanted" by attacking him.



Or . . . maybe the Darkspawn knew who he really was and recognized him from The Deep Roads . . .

Sandal is so obsessed with enchantment, that long ago, before he was found by his father, he enchanted himself.

Mike Laidlaw posted something about this in one of the other forums. As said, BioWare wanted to put a merchant there, but couldn't think of a reason why one would be there. That's when one of the lead programmers or something put Sandal there just before the game went gold. That way, you have a merchant for any last minute shopping, and you get people to speculate about just what Sandal is capable of.

I would have bought Darkspawn Chronicles if it ended by getting wiped out by Sandal. That would have been perfect.
