If I edit the savegame and correct the flags, do I HAVE to start a new game once again to get it to actually read the changes? Can this be done without having to finish the game with that character?
Yes and yes. Go to the "Raw" tab. Expand the "Plot" section, which has the "End Game State" item. In the drop down list, select "LivedToFightAgain".

except that Conrad very simply states that Shepard pulled a gun on him and the game offers no "what? are you delusional?" response. even if you go with the grasping-at-straws theory that he's just so insane he thinks you pulled a gun even if you played paragon, it still doesn't fit since you can't argue the point. I find it hard to believe BioWare would do something so stupid on purpose
Yes, i get that. What people are missing is that Conrad is not officially stating that Shepard has actually done it.
Conrad is acting in front of the bartender.
I'm pretty sure Shep does respond, " Conrad, This is not acceptable."

That's just wishful thinking. As Renegade you pull the gun on him, as Paragon you do not. Would it be coincidence that he just happens to say exactly that you pulled a gun on him? As Renagade yes, as Paragon no, it makes no sense. He's not just pretending, he's too dumb for that.

I would like to repeat that Conrad doesn't actually accuse Shepard of anything. Let's go back a bitWintermist wrote...

Conrad: "I learned how to shove guns in people's faces by...(pause)- noticing someone walking in, turns
and sees that it is "Commander Shepard?" realizing he is still dealing with bartender and she is still watching, He regains himself, " OH, then you shoved a gun in my face!" Conrad is acting out in front of the bartender, this will happen no matter what you chose to do in ME1.

Yeah, everyone knows that. That's the problem. Sorry to go all "allcaps" but you've left me no choice: IT'S A BUG. IT'S NOT A DESIGN CHOICE. DEAL WITH IT.

More cut BS from Bioware. Thanks Didy, the more you show us this, the more apprant it is that ME2 was rushed out the door.
I don't think it was rushed, necessarily. Virtually every game has bugs. Also consider that audio is one of the most space-intensive resources on the disc. In order to fit it the game on some maximum number of discs (and to get it to fit on Xbox drives) they probably had to cut or change a lot of content that they otherwise may have left.

BS! If that was the case, then give as as free DLC. There is no excuse.
half the choices you make are flaged wrong in ME2 or don't show up
This should have been part of the main game, in fact Kasumi had dialoig before she even came out, plus the Hamerhead was ment to come with the game but they ran out of time. So much evidence proves that ME2 was rushed out the door.
Zaeed
Kasumi
The Hammerhead
Normandy crash site

Maybe there was something wrong when they were coding it, so that whatever we did to him counted as both renegade and paragon which is why it gives us the renegade outcome. Either way this might of been faked, it may not be that hard to replicate the characters' voices. Zaeed in the video didn't sound like the Zaeed we have in the game.
Keep telling your self that.

I think that's what I remember Bioware saying. They do kinda need to fix this especially considering Conrad Verner is one of the examples they went on about in previews of how your choices in ME1 would effect things.

Not appreciated, friend. I didn't fake a damn thing. The notion that I'd even go to such ridiculous lengths is just silly:
1. Fake the voices of 12+ plus people for a ~3 minute-long ME2 Youtube vid.
2. Make topic about it on Bioware forums.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Tell you what, though: Go get a copy of ME2 for the PC. Then, download this:
http://mod.gib.me/ma...tract_rev27.zip
and check for yourself. You'll be wanting the twrhub_imposter_* files. Have at it.

That's just an excuse, the truth is Biowaste is not going to fix it, they don't care about us anymore, only about profit.

I think the Normandy crash site was removed because originally we were supposed to start the game as Legion searching for Shepard's body and Shepard was originally intended to "wake up" in a Geth base... but they scrapped it and went with Cerberus instead.

Ok I get rid of the crash site, that still leaves Zaeed, the Hammerhead and Kasumi, three thing that where ment to ocme out with the game, which they did not because ME2 was rushed. Not to mention the issues with the choices. If the choices are bugged and you know it, don't advertise it.

Yeah, I hate it when companies try and make money. That being their raison d'être and all that.
And if they're so obsessed with profit how come they've released 4 patches for DAO and 2 for ME2? One of which fixes the planet scanning. For free. Gratis. Without profit.

They only released one patch for ME2. None of them fixed the import bugs or the Itch bug.
