Not necessarily.  That's what everyone said about the planet scanning too, remember?  If we whine about it enough and loudly enough, they just might patch it.  I'm talking about a multi-thread topic with hundreds of people clamoring for it, or maybe a monster 1000 page thread devoted to it.  Anything else will just get ignored, I'm afraid. :(

I think you're right, even a 300+ pages long thread about the Liara DLC got ignored (or better said: closed).

They're in twrhub_imposter_intro_* and twrhub_imposter_conrad_*.

Because you didn't end his quest in Me1 with a paragon/renegade conversation option. He gets himself killed trying to prove himself if you don't.

it's rather hilarious to hear over the news in the elevators about some crazy human mucking about with the first group of turians he ran into and got himself killed.I imagine he does this straight after being told by Shepard to **** off.

will the PS3 version be able to import PC or XBox saves from ME1? don't think it'll be an issue otherwise, I don't think he turns up at all in an unimported game

So, the dialogue turns up before a patch that fixes it? Epic fail, Bioware. DAO at least allows dialogue fixes through Mods.

Hell yeah! I so want to see Sheparg b*tchslapped! His/her face is probably priceless! Shepard, hero of the citadel and living (undead?) legend... Must come as quite a shock to get slapped out of nowhere. :D

So, the Paragon email theory is done. This pretty much renders my first thoughts of this forced renegade outcome being intentional not true too. Bioware, c'mon fix the damn thing, with patch or DLC or something! This flaw is so glaring to us Paragon gamers that it hurst my teeth.

Actually, it's a possibility that whatever method they use to allow ME1 choices to shine through in the PS3 version will allow Conrad's Paragon dialogue to occur. For example, if there's a generic "you walked the Paragon path" option and Conrad is affected by it, you'd get his Paragon dialogue.

This isn't really a "fix," it would simply be a side-effect of the faulty save-import system not being there to muck it up.

Well, it's not.  Like any other conversation that depends on prior actions, many, if not most, of the lines would have been identical.  Once the intro is through with, there's no reason to have different dialogue because all the details of the quest would be the same.  And, either the "shoot his foot" or "punch him" option is unchanged.  Likely the "shoot him" one, as I don't see Conrad being so happy about Shepard's return that he wouldn't mind being shot.

WE WANT A PATCH that fixes CHOICES. I never even gave a **** about the planet scan. conrad, the consort...



I'm surprised that the choice letting the rackni queen live actually appears the way it should, although it isn't really a side-quest. meh.

Need fix, now. Even if it is extremely dirty. I mean, a pop-up box asking which way you finsihed the quests would be OK (I know people can lie, but whatever). Do this now.

Save editing is possible for both the 360 and the PC, so "honesty enforcement" holds no water as a reason not to do this anyway.  Oh, and BTW, while verifying other dialogue, I used an imported playthrough with the Renegade flag unchecked for Conrad.  Turns out, the game totally ignores it.  It's actually the Paragon flag that triggers his appearance.  Remove it, and even if the Renegade flag is set, Conrad will not appear.  So, it's even more broken than previously believed.

agreed, if they can't fix the import bug then at least give Miranda an extra question at the start of the game "on Citadel Station you were approached by an obsessed fan, how did you handle the situation?"

Hell, I'd be happy if they came out and said "We've made a mistake with importing players' choices from Mass Effect 1; more specifically the Conrad Verner outcome. We will have more on this soon".



That's all it would take to make me happy.



Just acknowledging that they are aware of this issue in their game.
