Sure, everyone just hacked the forums and placed the game icons below theirs avatars.

Do you doubt it?  Explain why many users are unable to register brand new copies of the games when EA's servers flag the UPC code as "in use".

A bunch of script kiddy pirates drank up all da milkshakes (upc codes) Plainview style.

A PC gamer mentioned Crysis, time to lock the thread.

I bet 80% of the people who complain about PC DAO pirated/stole their copy

Also, notice who doesn't have them for DA.

I've already posted why before, I get "invalid UPC code" when I try for DA.  Meanwhile I have a brand new, pre ordered, new copy.

Script kiddies stole mai UPC code before the game even shipped to me.

But yeah, blame the victim!:o

While I have some PC games, DA is on my PS3 :) I'm a "console ****** that ruins gaming" even tho I prefer deep complex RPGs everyone assumes that by merely owning a PS3 I am a 14 year old mountain dew drinking, cheetos eating script kiddy

well i thought about gettin it on my 360 but that crappy thing crashed a few days before i could buy DA2, and then i had to wait bout 4 months for my pc to get repaired... but still its funny how soo many are assuming that console gamers are little children and pc gamers are "mature cool elite yeaahhh", considering that i play on a pc and still need (looks at the watch) 2 1/2 hours to be officially allowed to play DA xDD

The main problem is many companies think that too, so "mainstreaming" is not stopping for the moment. I don´t think it´s really just a console thing. I played the Spectrum, where complexity wasn´t usually an option. Then computer got more powerful and games got more complicated and rich, not just with better graphics and performance. So maybe is just a cyclical trend.

DAO was ported from PC to consoles, therefore the PC version was more superior. This time, both PC and console players will benefit. Win-win. WIth all due respect, but what more do you want?

- DX10/11 eyecandy
- ability to zoom out reasonably far for a tactical, BG2-like overview of combat
- full-text dialogue
- lots of slots for hotkeys and easy mouse access

To name but a few.

True. But remember, not everyone plays it  on maximum graphic settings. It may be risky for Bioware if many of the PC players are unable to play DAII given the heavy system requirements.

Again, the console is not that bad... they just need time to work with it, that's all. Many cool games were able to run on them. I doubt DAII will be far off anyway.

Console is not that bad, but it's just not well suited for RPGs like BG or DA. The workarounds for the limitations of a controller show through. Consoles are much better suited for other game types, like action/adventure, puzzle or racing games - or turn-based RPGs, or RPGs with simplified combat systems. Such games can be great on a console, like Tales of Symphonia, but they don't have the depth and complexity that I look for in PC RPGs.

Lots of huff and puff.

Any serious gamer knows you cannot produce the complexity of a PC game on a console
Are Console games fun....sure....do they sell ...yes obviouslyBut we now get this deluge of watered down games released for both PC and Console Look at BG2...and you'll understand what I mean when you see how the depth of the game-play has been reducedME2 was the biggest joke I can't begrudge Bioware ...they have to make money and appeal to a larger audience For me I will never buy a console ...I am a PC traditionalist and I want to be challanged when I play a game :)

Yes, everything watered, sucks big balls.

This is a common myth.  Summoner 1 worked brilliantly on PS2,  Vagrant Story on PS1,  Demon's Souls on PS3, KotoR XBOX, Morrowind XBOX the list goes on and on.

Turn based or "simple" RPGs work on any system, as do complex ones.  Saying "doesn't work on a console" is a long standing myth that has already been proven false by the list of great complex RPGs on consoles.

Lots of quoting and more quoting, for that?   If you are going to troll w/ empty snark comments, do it in PMs, don't waste bandwidth.

For everyone complaining: Did you knew that consoles have very strict limitations in resourses used?

For example, Xbox360 has 512 mb of RAM. Have you seen similar PC nowdays?

That's why game is being run on weakest console, to ensure that it will look rather pretty even on this specs. The task to fit a big app into small platform is hard, so i have no problem with this.
