I honestly don't know... why do you ask this early? the best you can get are leap of faith, die hard fan answers or hastily concluding thickhead hateful remarks about it.

No use Shepard, console dialogue wheel, one origin, more action, this not minor change, nature gameplay change, big. Big console game. No return to roots CRPG, console game try hide console mentality.
Here's the thing. And before anyone says anything, think about it: Is "speaking with your wallet" REALLY going to affect the sales of this game? My guess is a big NO on that front and here's why:
1.) The RPG is evolving...Expecting "More of the same" with little change is not only naive, but unrealistic. Accept the change and play the game, or DONT and move on. Because there arent enough people complaining AGAINST the changes to hurt BioWare's profits much.
2.) For every one fan of the original DA (and although this is speculation, it warrents thought) that BioWare loses, they have the potential to GAIN at least 1-2 from the ME fans PLUS any "newcomers" to the franchise as a whole. When you run it that way, it makes any "speaking with your wallet" kind of moot.
Also, you DO realize that ME2 was released for PC as well and there are seemingly people who enjoy it better on PC than console (Im a consoler myself but that's beside the point). Seems to me that this is yet ANOTHER attempt at starting yet ANOTHER PC vs Console battle. To which, I'll just regurgitate what I said last time:
Dont we have better things to do with our time than to sit here all day, beating an already dead and mutilated horse that no longer needs to be beaten? Seriously, it needs to stop. It's really stupid how the console crowd has to constantly justify their existance to the PC crowd....And it is likewise stupid (and immature) of the PC crowd constantly beating down the console crowd. It's a pointless and meaningless battle that has waged on for FAR too long. The faster that the PC crowd realizes that as long as there are video games being made, that there are going to be consoles, the faster this whole freakin mess can just finally DIE...
Complaining about console games and/or console gamers as a whole will do you about as much good as complaining about the changes to DA2....Which is to say NONE. Why? Because if you decide to play DA2, you WILL play as a Human, his/her last name WILL be Hawke and he/she WILL be fully voiced so get over it....

This console game my bad, thank you so-so. Very good.
DA:O was a PC game with a consolle port. The game was pirated and played to death on PC. The game sold 80% of its copies on consolle. So, yes, the fault is of the PC gaming community that have not supported a really good game for PC (not great, but good).
And stop making comparation with other company like Blizzard. Blizzard games sold a lot on PC because they have a strong focus about online multyplayer features that avoid piracy issues. A single player game have not such feature for definition and it's weaker against the effect of piracy.

Make leap of faith with Operation Flashpoint 2, Rainbow 6, big fail console games.
Inferior disability. Money wasted, use logical deduction, predict crap.

actually id say, if bio really is going stronger for the console market and tries to ignore the pc market, theyll suffer. reason is, that of the games bought on the consoles propably a big part was just sold because the costumer thought "ahhhh thats like god of war epic bloody hack&slash". those guys are "warned" now.
Ah, no; those "console" minded people probably thought; oh hey, hears a cool RPG, FOR THE CONSOLE!!!
Be "warned", we are the majority, and we aren't all stupid.

ill wait for the reviews. if they tell me things i do not like (like total consolisation or something) i wont buy it. if the game only is only optimized for consoles and i as pc user wont have a hard time playing it on the pc (for example if the camera doesn't totally suck) and the toolset gets updated ill buy it.
Same here.
As for other games- I avoided MW2, didn't buy the first Mass Effect until it had reduced in price to what I considered fair value for a game with limited Securom activations, and I haven't bought any of the recent Ubisoft games with their insane DRM. Companies need to earn my money, and just about everything bit of info released about DA2- the proposed consolisation, the hobbling of the toolset and isometric views, the absolutely awful graphics, the 'streamlining' of dialogue, the fixed player character- has put me off. Bioware really need to go some in the next 6-7 months if they're going to persuade me to fork out cash for this.

It'd be "atleast" cheaper than spending your time on the games forums, no?
Seriously folks, why is this questioned asked on this forum?
You're willing to give up the couple hours free time to post on this forum about a game you're not sure you want to buy?
Perhaps it's me, and I have ALOT of free time (economy is great), but I don't understand these threads and the subsequent post. Are you trying to find reassurance? That of which would only come from having a fresh copy in your hands?
"Are you going to buy this game"?
Well, I sure as hell could of made enough money to buy several copies of this game from the limited time I've spent posting here, the OP as well, and even more so.

One more time, in actual English this time with proper sentence structure? Or is THAT where the Rubbish in your name comes from? Because I seriously am not understanding how "Building a tank" "Davinci" and "14 year old Johnny Go Go" getting a console for X-mas has anything to do with the price of tea in China

DA:O is a good PC game by any mean. So, why it has sold more on the consolle? Find a reasonable answer or try again.
Always blame pirate. Pirate pirate pirate.

I've allways played on my PC. I think that a gaming PC is not costly as they make it sound if you know what you're doing and it's a superior gaming platform by any mean (I admit that there are configuration issue but imho they are overrated). I never bought a consolle and I'm not interested in buying one (even if I have nothing against consolle players: to each his own).
But still, even PC games that are not exclusive sold better on consolle. So? If it's not piracy, what's the reason? You know that even indie games developed by small companies are pirated to death? If we do not realize that it's THE problem of PC gaming, we will go nowhere.

I certainly hope i'll hear more in the future that will alleviate my concerns, but I doubt it. All in all, I expect it will be a fun action game, with light RPG elements. This is a design philosophy that I dont wish to support.
It's hard to believe that Bethesda is quickly becoming the #1 RPG developer these days.
