I also agree Lyssistr. I know their goal in piecing the story together like that, but I'd rather it all be out and then I'll get it.

Yes, on one hand it wouldn't change much if they released all three pieces as one in 2-3 years, on the other hand I can't really go out and buy 1/3 of SP campaign :D. They're teasing us !

I agree, because the .2564091347 seconds faster you can choose a dialogue option is tops.

Blizz's patching has always been fine imo, also WoW beta stability was a good as release quality for 99% of games out there. Yes, it has evolved and now it's even better than before, but back then, it was miles ahead of anything else out there.

The patcher and I just never worked together. It always seemed like it to so long to transfer, download and install. Maybe it was my patience when the game first game out but I don't have fond memories of it. As long as they continue to work with what they have in place now for their other games, I'm happy.

Unless they bring back the dialogue system and tactical camera like the first game then no. I'm also holding off buying the Leliana DLC until they change their mind. I don't support developers who don't support my gaming platform of choice.

They won't change their mind.

How does the method in which you choose the dialogue reflect the support given to any particular platform?

Consoles use lower resolution, more difficult to read text. People on
console sit further away on couch, people on pc sit close. easy to read
lots of text, hard for console user. Text replaced with voice and disability icons can read from far away. Also make like Mass Effect talky person and wheel because analogue stick work better and aim sales at mass effect people on console also. Game big sellout. CRPG dropped.

So low resolution is the only reason for voiced characters, no thought what so ever given toward a realistic and involving interchange between the PC and NPC's?

I know this will sound like advertisement but if you love Terran, 30 missions with morality choices and an epic ending with loveable characters throughout is a great deal. I'm a Terran fan and I loved the campaign, they went away from the Campaign teaching you how to play Multiplayer and went all out with the campaign objectives.

I sit very close to my TV when I'm playing games on my consoles. Even though I have a small HDTV my eyes are screwed by years of programming and computer use. How does that factor in anything?

....and mine by to much lsd and construction debris flying in my eyes

I have my "media station" setup with PC and TV screens side by side, and sit at arms length to it.

BTW Rubbadubdub, most PC players have HDMI/or equal outs nowadays, meaning PC players utilize the couch just as much.

Just enter the SSV Flemeth and fly to Orlais, I've heard they had trouble with those silly Na'elves and require Commander Hawke's assistance.

When the game first game out, most people -I know I did- had slower connections. Minor patches are usually small but major patches could be a bit of a pain. Also if it weren't a major patch you could always login to play, patch download was taking place on the background and when you exited the game patch installed, it was an option in the game setting somewhere.

These days (I've quit WoW) I installed WC III+Frozen Throne+patches, it took like ~40 min total, which imho is not too bad.

I haven't played SC I, I'm more of a Warcraft universe fan, so SC II will be my first Starcraft-universe experience. How long is SC II SP campaign? if it's like 15 hours, I'll wait for expansions to come out, if it's closer to 25-30 hours, I guess I could buy now.

This thread is both amusing and cringeworthy at the same time...

Anyway: I will naturally be waiting until I see more of the game before I make my mind up, however I have no reason to doubt Bioware and I love the Dragon Age IP. I can't see myself not getting it at this point, nor can I see Bioware making it unenjoyable. I am frequently bemused at the reasons people give for boycotting the game completely, oh I understand some of the negative comments and I think the community's -constructive- criticism is one of it's best aspects, however saying you will never buy the game because it possibly won't have a new toolset on launch seems crazy to me. Especially as a bunch of people who say it have Mass Effect avatars/signatures and have obviously enjoyed that game without a toolset and whatnot.

Personally I played DAO on the Xbox, purely because my pc couldn't handle it. Do I wish I had gotten access to modding tools and the overhead camera? Sure. Did it mean the game was unplayable/unenjoyable/dumbed down (insert other)? Not at all, Dragon Age is much more than that. The devs have repeatedly said that the core gameplay will remain in DA2, until we see gameplay footage that suggests otherwise I don't see what all the hullaballoo is about frankly. All this and there is every chance that the pc version will retain a superior camera and a future toolset update.
