I'm planning on starting my first Nightmare run with a 2H Warrior.  Currently I have two companions already set in their roles, in addition to mine:

Me: Reaver/Templar 2H Tank/Damage Dealer
Leliana: Bard/Ranger Archer/Damage Dealer
Wynne: Spirit Healer/Blood Mage Healer+Buffer (i.e. Haste)

I'm really not sure about the last companion.  I had read about using Shale as the fourth member, as a Damage Dealer then a Buff/Tank through Stone Aura, but then there's also the choice of going with Morrigan for Blizzardy goodness and additional Haste for super fast attacking.

My inital guess is to use Shale because Stone Aura is awesome but I wanted to ask before I get too far into the game.  If there's something else that can be improved, let me know, I will probably make this my main file (for importing) from now on if it's awesome.

And is CGM the best 2H tank weapon?  I looked at the tank guide via DA's wiki and it suggested Starfang as the prime weapon for a 2H tank.

My strong recommendation is another 2Hander with Sweep/Superiority. Chain sweeps/AoE knockbacks from the 2Hders will alleviate some healing from Wynne and allow her to dps, resulting in faster killing speeds.



My favorite weapon would be Great Chasind Maul after Str 60, before that, I would stick with Starfang.
