I just don't get it....

now, I understand most Krogan women are hoarded like diamonds cause of the genophage so that's prob. why Krogans go for Asari.... (better than using a sock or turning gay I guess they figure...)

But what on earth would an Asari see in a Krogan?

They're butt-ugly and weigh up to 500 pounds and are from 7 to 8 feet.  They look like dinosaurs and have rough outer skin and (looks at my avatar) sorry, but not exactly the kissable-looking type.  Giant, scaley thine slits don't look like something they'd want to kiss- and their tongues are most likely enormous and nasty, possibly like frenching the world's largest pitbull.  Don't know what that's like but I'm sure it's not pleasant.

Plus all of their limbs would be oversized!  If average male human penis is 5.6 then average Krogan penis could be about 9 and they could go up to 20 inches.

Now that size would really, really hurt a girl!  They'd need a lot of medi-gel for at least the first 6 months or so, possibly the whole relationship!  And they hooked up w/ Krogan a lot even before medi-gel was invented!

So what do Asari see in Krogan?  Is it just because they have giant penises and 4 testicles?

Actually, being reptiles, I think we have no idea about the appearance of krogan gentalia.

But despite there being a couple examples of Asari-Krogan love in ME2, I doubt its a common thing. Asari seem attracted to pretty much anything - maybe because they're psychic and the physical form is only one narrow dimension that they see in a person - but I doubt the vast majority of Krogan have the temperment to put up with Asari.

P.S. And because there is such a stimga to pureblood relationships, krogan are about the only race where they can find mates that they won't have to bury a dozen times over.

Then again, Asari are pretty ****ty. Most become strippers early in life and they'll pretty much bang any, and every, alien- even those little midgets in space suits the Volus!

Asari are attracted to power. Also, if you follow their description of how they have intimate relations, it's all mental for the Asari. The physical stuff is for the partner's benefit; they could care less.

Your comments about holes and what goes in them shows how little you know about the actual physical capabilities of humans, let alone extrapolating that to alien races. If you have no idea what you're talking about, maybe you should pick a different topic to discuss. In any case, this is bordering on inappropriate.

Krogan have a long lifespan, Asari have a long lifespan... they're looking for a relationship where their partner doesn't die way way before they do? I know Liara says Asari can deal with that, but I reckon there is that thought process still going on.

Asari are attracted to all species. I don't think looks matter to them, only personality and relationships. On that matter, krogan aren't all rambunctious mercenaries- remember the krogan poet dating an asari on Ilium? And asari can be attracted to a krogan's violent nature. The asari bartender on Ilium had a asari commando "mom" and a krogan warlord "dad". As for krogan attraction to asari, judging by the human, turian, and salarian perceptions of an asari dancer in the bar on Ilium, it would seem asari mess with other species' minds somehow to make themselves attractive.

One thing in particular that could attract asari to krogan is their longevity. Krogan have lifespans that are just as long as asari lifespans, whereas the lifespans of other races such as turians, humans, and salarians are far shorter. Thus, if an asari wants to have a long-term relationship, she would seek out a krogan.

Asari have an alien culture, being aliens. I imagine that when it comes to relating to other species, it's all about the mind. Asari are women, to be sure, and they have a strong sense for the aesthetic, at least when it comes to their clothing, architecture, and technology. But, these are things the asari cannot engage mentally or psychically. To an asari, a krogan male is strength, instinct, and ferocity incarnate. That savage virility is going to be attractive to some. I bet Aria, being a dangerous person herself, was pretty hot for Patriarch once, but simply can't show it for fear of being seen as weak.

Still though.... Asari are human-sized and not a lot of fangirls wanted to be able to have a romance w/ Krogan. Despite all the reasons mentioned Krogan are pretty ugly.



They're powerful, have big penises and live long lives and are more desperate for kids than other aliens cause of the genophage- I guess those would be the main reasons. Still, pretty damn ugly though.

I have a feeling that this guy is a much bigger freak in krogan society than the asari would be in hers. I still don't trust him. To a Krogan, his behaviour would be like a human running around with his underpants on his head howling at the moon.

I always thought that Asari don't have sex in the way that we think of it. They do that mind meld thing and exchange genetic information that way, not through the transmission of fluids.
