While Asari do not reproduce through physical contact, I think we're meant to assume they have all the parts we would associate with a female and give birth to live young in the traditional manner. Otherwise, their visible physiology really makes little sense. Krogan physiology could be anything, though.

Do Asari even have vaginas? Two Asari can mate with one another... does that mean that all Asari have penises AND vaginas?
I always thought that Asari don't have sex in the way that we think of it. They do that mind meld thing and exchange genetic information that way, not through the transmission of fluids.

I'm shocked this topic isn't locked yet. But I guess it is an R rated game.

So I guess not all Krogan are bloodthirsty, dimwitted psychopaths... maybe there's hope for em after all.
I have a feeling that this guy is a much bigger freak in krogan society than the asari would be in hers. I still don't trust him. To a Krogan, his behaviour would be like a human running around with his underpants on his head howling at the moon.
By ME1 standards you'd be right, but there's so much Krogan d'awwww in ME2 that Charr isn't really that out of place. You've got the Krogan craving fish in the Wards, the one that wants to play with his son and the one glued to the news vids on Tuchanka, the very articulate and civil agent of Mr. Thax on Ilium...

What's so shocking? If it gets locked it should only be because of how ridiculous it is, haha...

I think this is what happened to Shepard in ME1: www.youtube.com/watch

But obviously a Krogan man's not just going to be having mind sex w/ a pretty little Asari, he's also probably going to be getting physical with her too.

What I wonder is, are there any asari-volus pairings? Asari-elcor? Asari-hanar? Asari-drell?

Asari are attracted to a person's mind/soul/personality, his/her body is merely a vessel. Appearance is irrelevant, the only limiting factor is whether the asari can mind-meld with them. And not all asari are the same, many are attracted to the darker, more aggressive personalities.

Asari-quarian would also be interesting (and get around a lot of the species' limitations.)

As for Krogan liking Asari? Well, the urge to reproduce is powerful, and some Krogan, unlike Char, probably DO decide to mate with asari in order to have any children at all, even if they aren't Krogan. That and the alluded to Asari ability to appear attractive to any species.
And finally, for those who don't get it, Asari mate by linking their nervous system to their mates. Coitus is not necessary, though often happens. Further, the simple linking is supposed to be extraordinarily pleasurable in and of itself. Finally, Asari are not technically female! They simply all possess traits for bearing and nourishing their children, which happens to make them look like human females.

The bartender on illium mentioned that she had an elcor as a partner.(laying in the arm of an elcor)

They aren't human. Their perception of attractive is likely different than that of a human.

The mindmeld is how they actually reproduce, but they do engage in the physical act as well. The physical act is not necessary for reproduction, however. Read Retribution. Several side comments about this.
