If Mass Effect goes RTS (units)

There are rumors everywhere surrounding Masss Effect. There will be an MMO, There will be new squadmates, there won't be new squadmates. but I have heard of there being an RTS after the Shepard Saga. So, what would the units be like? here are some ideas of what the units would be like.
Human
Human Marine
These would be the basic unit of the game, comparable to the Terran Marine. Not terrible, but still a good workhorse unit. Can upgrade armor and weapons
For every 5 of them created, one will have biotics, which can be used as an area attack. Warp would cause continuous damage to anyone within the range of the effect, Lift would raise the targeted units up in the air, where they would not be able to move and would take more damage, and Pull would cause the affected targets to go flying.
Hammerhead
scout vehicle, it would be able to travel over ridges and jump for a limited time, and has a good ranged attack, but the armor is sub-par, so its health is low. can upgrade range and armor
Mako
A tank unit, this one is slower, and the jump jets and climbing ability are not as good as the Hammerhead's, but it has more armor.
Salarian
STG (Salarian Task Group)
The STG aren't as well armed or armored as marines, and cant produce biotics, but they have 3 unique abilities that can disable the enemy. Virus Attack (disables mechanical units and machines [not as effective on geth]), Discharge (area effectthat does constant damage against anything) and poison (slowly damages a group of units for 90 seconds) upgrades include improved abilities, speed and health
Turian
Sniper
A long ranged unit that can take out important targets, armed with an SMG and a Widow Sniper Rifle. Won't last long in a real fight, however. Uprades include Range, damage, and a splash damage shot, for taking out small groups.
Asari
Commando
A tough unit that all have biotic abilities (Pull, Lift, Warp, and Reave (siphons health from enemy and gives it to the commando)
Every 20th commando created will be a Matriarch, with better biotic abilities, damage and health. however, the Asari are crap against structures, and abilities will tear through them easily. Upgrades include better biotic abilities, damage and health.
Quarian
Keelah's Regiment.
This special force of the flotilla are experts of sabatoge, explosives and espianoge. they are strong against vehicles and structures, and, if used right, can take out squads of units. Equipped with Grenades and SMG's. Upgrades include health, damage and a detector.
Elcor
Heavy Weapons specialist
Despite the Elcor being a peaceful race, they can be deadly soldiers. These specialists carry rockets, chainguns and other death dealers great for tearing down hundreds of units. high health, but very slow. Upgrades include health, Damage and Stomp (a melee attack).
Krogan
Battlemaster
High health and damage, with a charge attack that can send any unit flying. however, they are very expensive to produce. Upgrades include biotics and deadlier weapons.
Vorcha
Scavangers
Generally weak, their strength comes in that they are created four at a time, so it is easy to overwhelm an unprepared opponent easily. when paired with a battlemaster, they can rule a map. due to their stopped evolution, they have no upgrades.
Drell
Assassin
A cloaked unit that can tear apart small groups and kill (or blow up) important targets. Low health, means you have to use them wisely, because they are also expensive. Upgrades include a sniper rifle, more health and better damage.
Hanar
Enkindler Transport
Can transport numerous units, and that is about it. can be upgraded for more health, faster speed, faster pickup/dropoff, and a pair of machine guns.
That is everything I have right now. I would love to hear your ideas and opinions.

C&C games have their own charm. But it's nowhere near starcraft.

ALthough I like the mods better.. as any game, even Rome total war... the mods are awesome.
I play the return of the Clones Mod.... lovely.
just create my peaceful little land, of a couple of planets, and brace for the onslaught once one of the other factions takes over the rest of the galaxy... then is.... insanity bracing for the hundreds of ships coming my way lol.
From the 5 times I have done it... only have managed to pull it off twice

Come to think of it, someone is making a Mass effect mod for Force of corruption. its in very early development but have a look at ModDB. it has promise  also have a look at FOC alliance if you havent done so already.
But to avoid this thread being killed, i would love a RTS version of ME.

Because the RTS genre is full of rich titles entirely separate from Starcraft, many of which are widely considered equal if not better. Starcraft is high-quality, but there are plenty of other brilliant RTS games. Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander, Total Annihilation, Age of Empires III, and many others are nothing like Starcraft. A Mass Effect RTS doesn't need to be the same, and given the setting, it probably would be quite unique.

You don't play a diverse set of games I take it. Ever heard of the Total War series? Halo Wars? Tom Clancy's End War? I could go on.

Specially the diplomacy on Total war.... so damn retarded, you could have been allies with a foreign power for decades and all of the sudden a small little fleet of theirs wants to blockade your port... for no damn reason lol.

Wow. I've been thinking about this for a while. It would be
cool if each faction, had either a unique power or unique super unit. Something
like this:-
Superpowers
Heretic Geth: Summon Sovereign - Sovereign is summoned for a limited
time. Most powerful unit in the game, but just temporary.
Quarians: AI Hacking - all vehicles and synthetics are hacked. If
upgraded, buildings can be stopped working for a limited time as well.
Turians: Orbital Strike - fairly self explanatory.
Humans: Cerberus - when activated, all technology can be researched
for a limited amount of time. Also adds bonus techs, like biotics of Jack's
talents, or Firewalkers.
Batarians: Bring Down the Sky - One use power, with delay. Brings down
an asteroid onto targeted area.
Collectors: Assuming
Direct Control – [/i]As Harbinger, take control of any drone. Also, Dragon’s Teeth – [/i]Use on dead enemies to
turn into husks. Send husks back to base and if you have enough, cash them in
for Scions or Praetorians. To compensate for both abilities, Collector resource
consumption is much higher.
Super-Units
Asari: Matriarch - Extremely powerful biotic.
Salarians: STG - Stealthy scout, that can sneak unseen into enemy
bases, giving you constant feedback.
Krogan: Vorcha - Vorcha can hijack enemy bases, and spawn there, like
the vermin they are.

I'm not a C&C fan. What I mean is that it is stupid to say "Why would I need another RTS? I already have StarCraft 2!". Why don't I just go ahead and say "Why would I need Mass Effect, a sci-fi universe? I already have Star Wars!".

Honestly, I reckon something of the kind is inevitable, in some form or another: there's no way Bioware or EA are going to give up on the Mass Effect universe after Mass Effect 3. Hopefully, if done right, a Mass Effect RTS could be really good.

Yeah, but it should be space battles. 98% of all RTSes these days are all ground battles (the 2% are Sins of a Solar Empire and Star Wars: Empire at War), a pure space battle RTS is needed, and Mass Effect would be the perfect universe for the task.

This. So much this. The nature of all the different species would make for some great factions, in a space RTS. The Alliance could be the 'all round' faction, the Salarians the stealthy and tech power orientated faction, the Turians the 'straight up fight' guys. The Quarians could be implemented as a structure-less faction, who salvage ships and mine all their resources on the move. The Terminus could be the non-playable pirate faction like in Sins.Marzillius wrote...
