It's not a bad choice I think. I think you either want to go with it being either extremely detailed and accurate or somewhat simplified and stylized, something inbetween could just look muddied.
I got a the IDIC (infinite diversity, infinite combinations) symbol from Star Trek tattooed on my wrist. It's specialized enough that the common man won't know what it is, unlike say the Enterprise herself, has a special, significant meaning and is not garish.
i like you... a lot. you like star trek AND mass effect?!?!?!
Ah! A woman after my own heart.
Mass Effect, Star Wars and Star Trek...I'm like some sort of uber nerd!
Hey didymos thanks for the assist, and the cool unusued audio thread. *hands over one internets* Figured I'd give this to you while we got ya here

Honestly, who cares? I would quite happily get one of these as a tattoo, yet they're unknown to most people too.Dave of Canada wrote...
If I had gotten a tattoo of Bonk, a fairly well recieved and popular game for it's time, people would be asking me "WHO?" all the time.

Both from games that I absolutely loved.
Anyway, if you get this tattoo, post pics!
Oooh, pretty. I like it.makenzieshepard wrote...

Could someone take a screenshot from a SECOND or two later? That gyroscope thing in the middle spins around and would look better if it were foreshortened This should make a pretty great tattoo. Could there be a little Normandy shooting out of it??
All the tattoo haters out there: Yes I can understand why you are warning her not to do it... but everyone has their own way to do things. I think this is much cooler and more original than the cliche tattoos of flowers, stars, crosses or their kids names that so many people already have...
The great thing about the mass relay is that even if you dont know about the game, it is a cool abstract design.

Twenty or so years in the future when everybody forgets about Mass Effect or barely remembers it, you'd be regretting that tattoo.
So people should tattoos based on what other people think? I like ya Dave, but that's just plain f*ckin' stupid.

Ok you guys, I know it's been a really long time since I posted in this thread, (or anybody has) but I think you all should know I sent an email to the L.A. ink casting thingymabober and they liked the idea! So now I have to come up with a 3-5 minute video of me explaining the tattoo. YOU MIGHT SEE THE LIKES OF ME ON TELEVISION! I will represent you all with overbearing and awkward pride!
Sweet. Glad you're going through with it. I've got tons of tats. You need to post a pic when you get it.
