As far as I could tell, Elnora viewed the Eclipse sisters as more of a vigilante group, "flying around shooting bad guys and stuff." Judging from his being in Pitne For's trade group, I wouldn't be surprised if the Volus victim was just as dirty a swindler as the one who sold the Minagen X3 to the group. She's not really all that different from Shepard or quite a few of his/her companions, if you think about it in that light~

That said I'd still like to, y'know, arrest her, rather than the black-and-white choice of "kill on first sight/blindly free criminal immediately." Due process isn't very popular in the Mass Effect universe.

Also, why are folks so annoyed that Elnora "gets away with it."

If Nassana Dantius is any indicator, Elnora will get what is coming to her sooner or later.

THIS.

I let her go on my next paragon playthrough - even knowing she was guilty - precisely because I know that getting her in the next game will be all the more satisfying as a result.

TBH, not getting a rematch with Balak is more annoying than getting chumped by a solitary Eclipse merc.

The first time I played ME2 I missed the whole "All eclipse members have to kill before they earn their uniform". So my paragon waltzed in and let her go, then cussed a fit when he heard the recording.

On my second playthrough I was like, oh wait, Elnora, guess my character doesn't know so I will let her go. Then I heard the volus say " All eclipse members have to kill before they earn their uniform".

Well nvm, I shot Elnora down because he did know previously!

I agree with you completely on this, I've heard some say we'll get another chance with him, hope it's true

I still wouldn't let her walk, though. I would hope that there would at least be a neutral response which would allow you to handcuff her to wait for arrest.

I love the thought of Shepard carrying around handcuffs... There's a lovely innuendo there.

Maybe, but how many people will have to suffer and/ord die before that special "sooner or later" time comes?

I am pretty sure that Elnora will hide herself from a light of the day (perhaps she will go at Omega) because she known that now he have behind her not only Citadel Spectre, but Illium Police and perhaps biggest "doomsday" enemy in form of the Justicar ( Samara could pretty easy hunt her down in post C-base time knowing that she is guilty) and we known that having Justicar at the tail can't have good ending for hunted person...

I'm sorry, but someone pulls a gun on me and I shoot. Ask any cop who's facing an armed person. You are even told before you reach the base that every eclipse merc earns their uniform by murdering someone. I put two and two together and took her down when she raised her weapon.

And I'm a paragon.

Tell that to people who suffered, because you didn't kill her in the first place.

So the proper thing to do is go vigilante and shoot her before you find out about the evidence that implicates her so that you can prevent her crimes before they happen.

I will have to check my Powers for Shep to see if Clairvoyance is somewhere between Disruptor Ammo and Adremaline Surge. Image IPB

So, the impression I'm getting is that most people kill Elnora because of metagame reasons ergo they don't want to feel like chumps when they find out that she actually killed Pitne For's partner.

How many people did Nassana kill between ME1 and ME2? Shepard is just one man/woman; no one person can save every individual in the galaxy.

I always let her go.There is a police on illium that had to deal with it.Self justice is not my thing and elnora didnt murdered some innocent stranger anyway. Pitne for and his friends were scum anyway who wanted to sell poison to eclipse.Knowing what this group would do with them after finding that out. So they are not only ruthless, but stupid.

I let her go with my Paragon. She looked too cute for her crimes. I also expect a return in ME3.

In terms of moral scale, what Rana Thanoptis did is far worse than anything Elnora could do, yet I'm willing to bet every single Paragon in this thread let her go.

I have a compulsive trigger finger when it comes to renegade interrupts like that.

I shot the krogan bodyguards behind that volus pretending to be Fade first time too.

As for which choice to make, though I shot Elnora in my first runthrough I'll probably just stick to whatever choice gets me more content in the next game.

The frightened Salarian in Dantius Towers pulled a gun on you too. Did you waste him?

Like Kid_SixXx said, it's metagaming.

I don't recall there being an option to shoot the frightened Salarian.

The salarians are hostages, so scared that they won't trust anyone who doesn't look salarian to them. I thought how that one salarian pulled a gun on me was perfectly normall. I actually felt sorry when I hit him with the Renegade interrupt on one playthrough. Image IPBImage IPB

Rana doesn't have a gun to pull on you in the first place but if Mordin is in your party, the fact that Rana is unarmed doesn't prevent him from commention that you should've killed her anyway instead of letting her go because her scientific ethics are all sketchy..
