So I've been thinking about this for a while and was curious to get some other opinions. On the whole, I think Awakening did a great job on expanding the fun gameplay of Dragon Age (although a bit too easy). As a huge fan of the Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage combo, I was delighted to add the Battle Mage to the list which only added to my growing options as a hybrid Mage.
However, I can't help but notice that entire third branch of Mage spells (Repulsion Field, Mystical Negation) lacks diversity. If you consider branch two of the Arcane line, you have a good variety of effects: some passive bonuses, a new sustainable, Time Spiral, etc. Am I alone in thinking that the third spell branch was rather boring and useless?
