Written for the kmeme fillathon, but really a totally, totally tame tear-jerker:
Last Words

Prompt was something like: Zevran who was in love with a US!Warden goes back to the Gauntlet hoping to see him/her.

ETA: Content warning: dwarven Warden.  ;)

Oh, holy hell, Corker.  You made me tear up.

And speaking of fics, I updated The Rescue today, if anyone's interested.   Link's in my sig.

I wonder if that would even work? Hmmmm... if so there'd be a line from the Gauntlet all the way back to Denerim once word got out, I would imagine.

The Gauntlet's weird.  Whatever agency picks your spirit, it seems to be someone the 'agent' thinks you need the forgiveness of.  Now, several of my Wardens have certainly been incensed at the idea that they need forgiveness for whatever the spirit is talking about - but that seems to be the theme.  So it can't just be any old loved one - it's one you done wrong.

True, but that would still be quite a few people who would want a chance to seek forgiveness, don't you think?  Granted, like yours, most of my Wardens would NOT be among that group, but still.  However, you really did address this to a great degree by having the Templars deter people away from risking the perils of the Gauntlet.  Well done. :)

EDIT:
@Sialater - Very cool on the update!  I haven't gotten to your story yet, but it's on my list.  Can't wait until I have a chance to sit down and begin going through it!

Well, in you fic, Corker, I got the impression Zev thought he'd done her wrong because he never said those three little words.r

So, no, I didn't find it odd.

On the far, FAR other end of the spectrum from Corker's awesome tearjerker, a bit of derpy fluff on a Thursday afternoon:
Sweeten to Taste
(Probably SFW, unless someone particularly prudish is seriously reading over your shoulder... )

hmmmm...I've been wondering...if the urn of sacred ashes can bring a man back from the brink of death.....then couldn't the ashes help a grey warden that has a slim change of having a kid have a healthy one with a elf that is very happy to do as much practice as possible to make it happen? lol

Verly, thanks! XD (made me hungry researching it...)

Re: the Sacred Ashes, we really don't know much about them and what they're supposed to cure (do we?), but why not barrenness? (Hell, why doesn't someone give Anora some, if one chooses to leave her on the throne along with Alistair?) Sounds like a fanfic waiting to happen. ;)

I'm going to wait until I get caught up on NA to read that one, but trust me, I'll get to it, Tellervo! The chapter I have read has me definitely wanting more. :)

Loved all the Valentine's gift ideas from a few pages back! Hehe. Some were certainly... inventive ;)

Well, after trying to mod Civ4, Dragon Age and Baldurs Gate, I have come to the conclusion that my computer is the equivalent of a little old woman who is computer illiterate. Ironic for a computer really...

So, I tried to download the Zev romance mods, but to little avail... But thankyou all for all your comments and help! :D

Well, Anders is a VERY strong rumour in DA2, as is the appearance of Nate. What are the chances of Zev making an appearance? I always thought he had a bigger fanbase than Nate and Anders?

Anders is a lovely mischeivous knave by the way. But I prefer Zev. He is an assassin. Nuff said.

A'ight, that's too good of a lead-in to pass up. (Thank you, Tasha vas Nar Rayya, and welcome!)

I was gonna go over this a little more, but having Poor Impulse Control and all, splat, Watching the Watchers, for the "Voyeurism" prompt.

Prompts: 2
Time: 2 hr 10 min

Which is to say: I will probably be happiest if DA2 leaves Zevran alone.  Then he can continue training Wardens / smuggling lyrium / controlling the Crows / having adventures in my head. ;)

Pretty sure they're done with Zevran, unless there's some brief cameo late in the game that's perhaps him on his way back to Ferelden for a romanced/friendly Warden. Even more entertaining, of course, would be an encounter with a Warden headed to Antiva--in which the Warden is a total dismissive and rude ass by not saying anything and the people with them do all the talking.

And the people who dislike Zevran are extremely vocal and hate him vehemently, so I think we're safe on betting they won't touch the character again unless there's a game set in Antiva or future content involving the Warden--both of which I feel are unlikely.

Geez, I didn't know Zev haters were so vocal... Why?

But I see what you mean. Different protagonist. Different time frame. Different place. But I'll remember you Zev!

Also, fanfiction can always fill in the gaps ;)

Well... I do know that Zev's not done with me. He's pushing for a sequel to The Rescue. I keep telling him to let me finish it first, dammit, but nooooooo.......

LOL Sia! I know. Zevran's got all of my fan fiction attention at the moment. I haven't been able to write a single Alistair piece since I started romancing Zev. Gotta love him. :)

He took over so much, Tigress, he invaded an original character of mine for an original novel. One I was going to kill, I might add.

Now THAT's funny! I haven't had that happen, but I did have Steve Valentine take over the leading man in my own novel. Didn't even realize it at first and then when I re-read the chapter where I laid out a description of Adrian, it was SV to a "T". Very scary.

LOL, haven't had an actor invade, just characters. And just Zevran. Cheeky elf.

I love The Rescue Sia! Definately one of my favourites out there. But could you possibly put RL on hold and update more often? LOL Sorry, but I had to ask...

Just wondering if the story is going in the direction that it *appears* to be going...but Zev takes my mind in many interesting directions. :)

Heh, thank you, I'm glad you're liking it.  I can't put IRL on hold, unfortunately, no.  I also have several other fics for ME I'm working on.

And .... I can't answer your second question.  :devil::innocent:
