TW did great job on the wedding, for sure! Adding the wedding to the AWESOME scenes from ZRS (and now RatT for all Zev romancing wardens as well!) that Hilde and Cme created and I feel very lucky indeed to be a Zevran fan.

Hmmm, now that it's reasonable to think that Zevran has a cameo in DA2, I'm terrified how badly they'll portray him. It could be, though, that they'll throw Zev fans a bone as most people who hate him kill him, but you never know.

Based on the IMDB entry, Jon Curry is listed as "Additional Voices" for DA2 (same as what he has listed for ME2), so... Generic NPCs, most likely. I doubt we'll hear Zevran in DA2, and I'm glad for that, all things considered.

No, there's a sound file with "zevran" in the name.  Which is why I'm now worried.  While it is possible that he won't have a cameo, that file does make me want to prepare for the worst.

Edit: It could be a matter of discretion (that listing can be changed after the game is released), or it could be that Zevran would be a minor enough cameo that it would be listed as "additional voices."

I was considering Zev-cameo earlier and I sort of wonder why a romanced Zevran *would* appear... XD A non-romanced Zev could be around for any number of reasons... You could definitely come up with some excuse for romanced!Zev, but I think a lot of us would be concerned with where our Warden was... ;D

I don't see any point in worrying about it. What's done is done. Considering DG loves Zevran and was the head writer on DA2, we can only hope that any cameo is a good one.

Yeh, to me worst case scenario would have him as leader of the crows, with the warden nowhere in evidence, like the romance never happened.  Even worse if they made him hitting on everyone.

The only thing that gives me hope is how much his fans complained over his lack of ANYTHING.  People who hate him or are meh wouldn't care if he got a cameo -- so to give him one, you'd think it would be to make his fans happy.  But you never know :/  

Edit: And you're right, it's silly to worry.  I was not planning on buying DA2 until after the price drops, but, bleh, if the cameo is worth it, I may be stupid and buy the game just to see it.  And DG does love Zevran, but that didn't stop lines from Oghren in Awakening like "Careful, he may go Zevran on you," (though given all the bugs, it may not have been intended for everyone, but only for people Zevran betrayed and there may have been some amazing line that people who romanced Zevran were supposed to get instead *grin*).

all the voices that  are IN DA2 that were mains in DAO are listed in additional voices in the credits of DA2 including the voice of flemeth, Steve Valentine and I believe Liliana's voice actress is also there.

I plan to use my f!Mahariel as my first import; she let Zevran fly after the Taliesen fight, and my own head canon is that he - guess what - boarded the Siren's Call and got the heck out of Dodge. I will be fairly amused if that turns out to be game canon as well.

@ Payroo ~ I really like seeing the ambush from Zevran's point of view. Wonderful!  - It has oddly enough become my favorite point in the game!

@ Tell ~  That is awesome! The candle in the background adds that special touch to his alone time.

What's the file's actual name, EJ, do you know? The first thing I did when I got the demo installed was look through the sound files. I saw a Cullen, and a Bodahn but no other really recognizable names we don't already know about. Of course, if it's buried somewhere in a talk table, that would explain why I didn't see it the first browse through.

Zevran soaring through the air is always made of awesome.  As another example...



I was so excited when Zevran got the deathblow on the AD my last game that I took a TON of screenshots LOL. The DW deathblows are so acrobatic *rowr*

As I've said elsewhere, Zevran will appear as part of the Famous Broma Brothers. Lels is touring with them as musical accompaniment and they stole Cesar's bear. It wears a frilly dress and dances the Remigold. This is how you'll encounter them in DA2.

It would be entertaining, tho', if its, say, possible to walk in on Zevran or Lels talking to Anders about giving that damn map back and he/she'll explain they're there on behalf of a friend/romanced Warden, or if you encounter either of them on their way back to meet up with a friend/romanced Warden they were supposed to stay with.  Also, even better if the Warden shows up on their way to Antiva and is a total silent jerkface to Hawke, and whoever is traveling with the Warden does all the talking. Lulzy little bones to be thrown that don't mean much but give a little more sense of closure, or that this **** is at least going on out of sight.

We won't see Zevran on his way to Ferelden to do the contract, the placement of the first time jump would be a little awkward for that, by current indications.  There's hope for a cameo that isn't completely fubar, but I wouldn't hold out for it.  I would expect, in fact, exactly the opposite.  Zevran will be leader of the Crows, because Gaider doesn't believe in happy endings, and if encountered in any subsequent games will be presented as such.  We must be satisfied with being kicked to the curb and hoping they leave well enough alone.

sst_ss_zevran.gda.  It's in an erf, so you won't see it in a casual look.  And while this is not technically a soundfile, it seems that it's referencing one.

For such a short piece there is so much in here. To be honest I was expecting the 'old master' to truly die in this story, and kudos for surprising me. It was really effective putting the fight scene in Antiva and the US side by side, Zevran saying he was already dead, the little details like scoffing at Alistair being left behind at the Gates, the glimpse that Zev looked like he might cry...An excellent piece of work.

Three deaths! I loved the different scenes all played out in Kirkwall, from 'flying' off a cliff (dragon tatts!) to foiling the Crows with Izzy (lol at her managing to get the earring back) to passing away peacefully, (with a full list of Zev's family, his legacy, that he was not 'no one'). Drama, action, and 'such is life'.

A very well-written scene of Zevran following his departed love into the Fade, dying but at the same time having what he loved most in life restored to him (yay, happy reunion!). I enjoyed being able to see the old man he'd turned into and his transition back to youth. lol moments were the mirror making him fall on his ass and then winking at his own reflection, hehe.

It occurs to me that for someone who romanced Zevran, if our assassin goes to Antiva then the Crows who come to Amaranthine could have been *so* much more effective (and story-awesome) with a ruse like this. I loved that Oghren was the one who recognised the earring, Devin's emotional reaction, ordering everyone out of the room...argh, poor guy. :/

I think this is an excellent idea of what would provoke Zevran to leave for Antiva (not everyone did the Trial of Crows, I'm guessing), and using the dead Crow to cover Zev's departure is clever--so long as no one else knows all his other tatts XD. The fact that the Crows technically force him to return to Antiva, if not their ranks...very sad for him and the Warden. Seeing Zev's shoulders hunch when Elam caught him leaving, seeing the Warden beg to go with him... *sniffle* I was listening to this track of the Inception OST during my re-read of this just now, and gah, I have tears in my eyes...

Oh Zevran...how your life is about to change... > Or will it really end? o_O Damned uncertainty! Love the colours and perspective, the way you know there's an Alistair, Morrigan and PC Mage...oh, yes, and Zev's FINGER SIGNAL. Great rendition of this pivotal scene!

Ok, this is tough...all these entries were fantastic in their own way and as you can see I loved them all. They made me grin or made me tear up, and it's a mark of awesomeness in my book when writers/artists can provoke emotion in the audience. So thanks to all of you for entering, it was a treat!
