...it really depresses me that we get all these new faces only to offer condolences for the screenshot! meanwhile I'll be sitting here in a corner open-mouthed... praying that that picture was from the same build as fugly Varric and Isabella (after all, they did end up looking totally different... right? right!) ;_;

Come on, Bioware... I've loved you ever since BG2/KotOR! Don't let me down now...

Probably right  I was even surprised that Leliana mentioned it tbh. I did assume I had missed the boat on it. I have created a mage elf just for him and am desperately trying to resist his charms to have a faithful to Zev run........

Did you get the massage? I'm looking forward to it **

After Taliesan and Landsmeet. I waited for Alistair to dump me (less painful than me dumping him  cos that feels like kicking puppies and kittens..)
I held onto to some gifts and avoided talking to him too much once we got to a certain friendship level (which was hard cos I love him as much as I love Alistair)
I got the massage conversation and the two earring conversations it was lovely and Leliana recognised the relationship too, only briefly but she did the 'watching Zev', bit. No one else did though. Didn't even sympathise with me for getting dumped *b*stards* 

I'm waiting for Alistair dumping too but for another reason, I planned this playthrough and my PC has no plan to dump Alistair, the poor girl is seducing Alistair hoping to become queen (she has no idea it won't ever happen!).

Anyway, you avoided talking him too much for some particular reason or what?
You didn't want to miss too many dialogue "as lover" or what?

I wonder if some of the smaller percent of dialogue can be cancelled by factoring in five sets of origins in DA:O that in any play through you don't see, iyswim?
Each origin lasts up to about an hour or so which is at least 5 hours in any given play that you don't see - You play human noble you don't see any of the conversations from Dwarf noble (and so on) all of which is counted in the total amount of dialogue available in DA:O......... Does that make sense? I know it doesn't account for a huge percentage but some of those origins have quite a bit of chat (Dwarf noble seemed conversation heavy)
Either way, there seems to be a sad but inevitable move away from the BioWare staples in their new games to do with customisation and dialogue/choices..... :/

I didn't want to trigger the romance until my warden was free  I feel really bad about those ''Him or me'', moments. I spoke to him and he initiated one of those chats so I reloaded and  avoided him so I didn't have to shut him down. Even though you take an approval drop for ending things his conversation is very dignified and forgiving. He comes across as tough and wise cracking but is hiding possibly the gentlest nature and most loyal character in the game - not to mention (and I ADORE Alistair) he wouldn't care what people thought if he were king, if he loved someone he would expect people to suck it up or butt out. So I wanted to preserve a scenario where my warden could stay with him...

He does make a great friend.  One of the things I like so much about him, his platonic relationship is as good as his romance.

I would probably have never romanced Zev if he hadn't given my friend!Cousland the offer of travelling around after the Blight. The *only* companion to offer to stay on. Made me him.

After I took Zevran with me, I realized that he is easily one of the most intelligent companions we have if not the most intelligent. He is astute and mature beyond his years, if you look past the jokes.

Heheh, whenever I see this kind of post I read it like a triumphant success story in the vein of "and then we stopped dumping toxic waste into the river and so the fish started coming back!" XD

Anyone know if DA2 will be moddable, yet? Even working off their new meshes there has to be a way to fix that. It looks enough like him that with some tweaks it'd be alright, I think. And since when is he a platinum blond? lolol

(Edit: I will probably actually buy the game if they do right by him cameo-wise. My standards for "doing right" are reasonably high, though. If it's just two lines and they ignore saved-game-context or whatever, screw it, I'll youtube it.)

Yep, Jon Curry is still listed in the credits as A VA (hopefully Zevran's), although he's being mum about the yea/nay due to non-disclosure agreement, lol. Thank the Maker for small favors.

I wonder how many people would preorder it if they knew in advance what they did to Zev. I'm not going to play it until there is mod replacing this fugly abomination.

Great picture, Maker knows we need them so badly, since brain-bleach is not working (for me at least, I'm happy for whoever managed to remove that image from his/her head)

While I'm happy that the VA is confirmed...I stilll can't imagine that voice and accent with that face. I will probably close my eyes and just listen him. I still hope he will appear for like, 5 minutes a side-quest and a dialogue. At least, maybe, they won't screw my Origins playthrough.

And yes, when I started talking to Zev, I wasn't even trying to start a romance with him, I just found him so fun to have around (picking locks aside ofc ), I liked his battle quotes and it was pretty obvious he was intelligent and had saw much more of the world, ugly as it was. All in all, he was really the better companion for me, romanced or not.
