I'm so torn. I did cancel my preorder over the DRM thing (which has been since changed to a more acceptable one). I'm not that excited over the game itself, but I know that what happens will be all over the place, and do I really want to find out before I play it? OTOH, $60 is a lot of money I think (maybe I'm old fashioned) and while it's a reasonable price for a game, I normally don't buy games while they're full price.

There aren't many games that are release day must haves for me, I tend to wait til they drop a bit  But I am really looking forward to DA II at least we know Gaider loves Zev, right? So he shouldn't have Ashley/Kaidan syndrome (cos Liara is Hudson's fave... <_<) I am optimistic that Gaider wouldn't allow the de-Zevranising of Zev and if he has allowed it, well they can't take DA:O away from us................... can they?  

David Gaider does not like happy endings.  Just remember that!  Zevran 10 years later has the potential to be interesting, but I have REALLY bad feelings about this.

I hope I'm completely wrong.

I'm not sure why I care so much.  This is BW playground and I can choose whether to play in it or not.  But I just liked Zevran so much, I really do have an emotional investment here.

*Sigh* yeah, I know....................  I mean I can't tell you how fast I hit the skip scene button when Morrigan is defiling my lovely Alistair to *save our lives* and how upsetting it is that I have to go to ruddy camp every I time I want to hear Zev  - ''Again? work work work'' (or similar) There are a lot of inequities not least of which is that ME2 AND DA:O DLC is a whole bunch of heterosexual male fanservice <_< Leliana, Morrigan, Liara......... Funny that! 
Still I am hopeful, it is my nature to be so.
Also is there some weird thing on here, cos whenever I comment on a thread it appears on my profile page APART from on this thread (and oddly enough the 'Mad at Zev', thread which is where I first encountered your wonderful signature ) Why doesn't it register? Is it some glitch I have or are we invisible? 
It really grinds my gears when they create something that we all love and then either cr*p all over it or pretend it doesn't exist? (like the Virmire survivor..)

Both this and the old Zevran thread seem to suffer from this ninja-status -- at least to me.  At first I thought it was because I was subscribed to the thread, but posts I make on other subscribed threads still show up in my profile...

I thought it was because it was in the spoiler section. None of my posts from this section appear in my profile (or else I'd be outted about all the time I spend at the Morri thread), but all the non-spoiler section posts do.

What happened to the feed updates? Those were the ones in the upper right of the screen, correct? I don't have those anymore...but I did used to see the thread pop up every now and then.

I should be getting it tonight, and I plan to import a CE who romanced Zev and enthroned Alistair/Anora rather than canon!Cousland (most of you know that story), so I'll be open to questions when I reach the place.

Edit: SecuROM borked my release time. I won't be getting it for another couple of days.

Ah it isn't me being daft then! I have been visiting the Kaidan thread since I rejoined (had an old account but forgot my password and had changed email.............. DOH!) and that is in the spoiler section and always shows up (same goes for when I try to stealth into the Jacob thread.... I like him OK? There I said it...) So it I noticed that my comments on here just weren't showing as activity, odd indeed.
I kind of want to know, but don't since we aren't due for the game til Friday here in the UK. I might even have to disappear til it arrives tbh, for fear of it being sullied somehow on the SN Not sure I am actually capable of doing it though........... lol

I have.  While you don't get a scene like this (payroo, gah, *cry*) here is his epilogue card:

Zevran lingered in Denerim for a time, mourning the loss of his love and working for the Fereldan throne as a distraction. Eventually the Crows came after him once again and he elected to take the fight to their doorstep, returning to Antiva. After four master assassins disappeared, the Crows readmitted Zevran--as their leader. He maintained a distance from his former comrades even then, and despite frequent offers of new bedmates, never loved again.

He's pretty destroyed.

The camera focuses in when Anora/Alistair says "some of us were friends and companions," and the Zevran looks up when they go on to say, "some of us even loved her."  I cried for real during the funeral.

No, that's my US ending.  Sereda Aeducan.  My ONLY US character, though.  I cried, especially when I got to his epilogue card.  It was a huge emotional punch.

Now I'm actually tempted to play DAO again!  It's been a very long time since I have (over a half a year, actually, and I haven't tried Hidle's and cmessaz's mod yet).

Yep, that's my primary canon (Lorelai Brosca, the avatar yonder).  It's the only thing I really regret about that run.  She didn't mean to destroy him like that.
