I saw the codex entry here, in discussion: The Antivan Crow sends his regards: Zevran in DA2

Uh, my post that I forgot to edit, with screen of just the codex entry. But yeah, this is the link right to the post.

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/306/index/6460094/2#6563390

Obviously, spoilerish, and Ejoslin already posted the text only version above...
But really, really, don't read my previous post in that thread, it's absolutely completely utterly full of spoilers of the cameo...you have been warned! ;)

Hee, that codex makes me pretty happy. I should probably take the plunge and go looking for him in DA2 soon, since I'm in act 3 anyway. I'm still sort of waiting for import bugs to be addressed or modded, though it's not like I object to a poly Zev/Warden relationship. Tannu and Zev are certainly under an understanding about these things by the time this could happen, even though this isn't his import.

Daww, thanks!

It's too blasted quiet in here, and my two current art WIPs don't have Zevran in them so I can't spam the thread with them. Besides, they look super derpy at this stage. XD

One's Tannusen tied to a pillar and the other is a full-body picture of Fenris getting drunk. Good times.

So instead, have a screenshot of Alley and Zev both doing the finishing move on an ogre at the same time, and LIVE IN FEAR OF MY TERRIBLE GRAPHICS! ...lol.

Posted Image

...Okay, looking at screenshots of the settings I had to run DAO at makes me sad. This is DA2 at lowest graphics setting and in combat:

Posted Image

(Hello, Hawke!Tannusen.)

And yet it runs better than DAO on my laptop. I just don't even know.

Since I'm already off topic, how about I toot my horn about managing to get Hawke!Tannu reasonably close to correct in about ten minutes in character generation? I didn't even check any references, since I wasn't bothering to be a perfectionist without a toolset.

Highest graphics DAO:

Lowest DA2:

God damn it, graphics. God damn it.

Have another awesome Mina!Zev art to make up for the offtopic:

Dapper goth Zevran makes the world a better place, one hat-tip at a time.

I haven't been able to post anything on these forums in days for some strange reason but I wnated to say how cool I thought it was that Zevran showed up for the final battle in DAII. to fight on my side I thought I was imagining it at first, until I paused the game and hovered over him! I guess he had a vested interest because my girl Sasha let him live and then spent the night with him - she deliberately left her boyfriend Anders behind on that mission!

It really is! Now we just need, lets see...
Coffee.

Derp. My mind blanked out. Charsen, for starters.

You know, it's funny, every time I go missing for awhile, and come back, I feel so troubled because I missed so much, until I post, and then I'm just stupidly excited to be back. LOL

Are any of you guys on facebook or LJ or anything?

*gnaws on EccentricSage* I saw you've been working your way through S&S, I've just been too derp to reply to the mega ultra awesomeness that is new reviews, lately. :D

I'm Aroihkin on LiveJournal/DreamWidth. Not really on any of the other popular sites personally.

Hey, I haven't gone anywhere I am just playing through DA II with my spare time :)
I have been lurking and commenting on the DA II *constructive criticism* thread because I keep thinking of things I want to moan about, lol....
Zev's cameo was far too short but I generally miss the whole DA team tbh.

Same for me, I haven't changed anything on my system, but I can run DA2 on high graphics and it is more smooth than DA:O. I guess they optimized something.
Helps when you want to screen especially close-ups, the textures and the skins are so much more detailed.
Well, aside the hands...anyone else noticed the creepy creeepy texture of hands in some scenes? Merrill and Isabela especially sometimes showed some skeletal creepy fingers with a sort of skin falling apart o.O

I am a bit sad because of some reasons I cannot explain here, I didn't get a Zevran appearance. :(
I'll fix it in the next playthrough!

Well, it's a different engine IIRC. It's the positive pay-off for the derpy new faces.

It still makes me boggle that it's such a huge difference, though. I could probably even turn the graphics up to medium and not lag literally to death in combat like I did in DAO on the lowest. Same exact laptop, etc.

DA2 Zevran Cameo for Corker's prompt, but a non-entry since I went over the time limit.

Endgame spoiler warnings for that, by the way (explanation at the start of the blog).

*nibles back*  I had had no clue there were so many already!  OMG.  I walked around with silly smiles on my face for no reason all day.  If they only knew what was going on in my 'happy place'.

I'll friend you on LJ.  :D  I haven't actually been posting there much, as I usually just feel like I'm talking to myself.  lol  But If I add more friends who are active, I'll start paying it more attention again.  There are some people there dear to me, but we tend to miss eachother a lot.  *sigh*

If anyone else here wants to friend me, I'm EccentricSage there, too.  :)  Just let me know who you are, if your LJ name is different from your forum name.

As to the new game, at first I didn't even notice the graphics were better, because some of the art is so bad.  I apreciate the graphics improvement, but it seems like they really dropped the ball big time in so many other areas.  I want to play for the story and characters so bad, as I am intrigued, but I hate what I'm hearing about the 'streamlining' (dumbing down) and the combat.  I'm also still very put off by the diologue wheel as well as the examples I've seen so far of animations during dialogue.

I'm currently posting in the general DA2 forum digging for more info on the subtleties of the diologue system and such.  If it weren't for my love of the writing in Origins, I would not give two ****s about this game.  I have to say, it's a testament to the writing team and Gaider that I even want to play it.

I do have a fb page. I don't know if there are that many Verly's around so I might be easy to find.

my first bit of fan fic ever...but it is not zevran related (I know for shame!)  my Beyona Auducan has been in my brain the past few days, so I thought I should let her out on paper so she would finely shut up already. lol

if you want to read it.

don't worry ES, i am here, sort of. i've had a rough time personally. just had a major surgery last week and am too tired to play a game, but my dear CZ has been keeping me company and talking to me about DA2 (and other stuff of course) while i have been in and out. things are very hard right now but every day i feel a little bit better.

I hope to get back to Dark Times and finish the Companion (:Zevran:) Weddings as soon as I can stay awake for respectable blocks of time, but still feel only 30% or so. but I am eager to finish them if no one else has already. i haven't been able to keep up with the progress of other mods so i don't know if it's even still needed. I do miss my work very much and i do want to get it done if i can.

and it is good to see that this thread is still busy and everyone is still excited about that elven rogue. it's good to see you too ES. =]

/hugs Charsen!  Gah, how are you and CZ? Miss both of you :(

On a DA2 note, Zevran IS bugged in DA2 -- he actually has different lines if in a romance with the warden and if the warden had died within a romance but at least the romance lines aren't triggering (not sure about the US warden in a romance triggering).  I'll spam this in a few places.

**spoiler**  Three lines (two I think for an alive warden, one for a US one) are grayed out below -- there are more apparently as well, but this shows that Zevran is NOT supposed to be cheating on his warden.  Just highlight them to see them.

Normally I would jump at the chance, but my dear Warden may be a tad put out.

It is time for me to move on. I've a Warden to return to, after all... it's been far too long.

The memories are a little too fresh, dear woman. Another time.

I found some more lines.  Here are two more.  I'm a mix of sad and ticked right now!  But happy that this WILL be fixable in the future (I hope).  Highlight below to see them.

{6089093} Laughs Ah, no. No. As fun as that would be, I am... committed elsewhere.
{6089096} Another time, perhaps. I am... still in mourning.

It also makes me wonder if the not so lovey dovey remark from Alistair I've read about is also incorrect. (that isn't too spolierish is it?)

I looked up Alistair as well, and no, it looks right, but there are some lines for a mistress warden that are very sweet.
