Yeah though, I am a bit upset too because I would have liked so much to see those lines. But at least I'm relieved they are here, they add some lovely details to Zevran's personality...which basically confirm how we imagined he was changed by the Warden.

I wrote a very extensive bug fix patch for Origins, and I'd do it again in a second for DA2 -- I'm just hoping they release a toolset soon.  But that doesn't help people on consoles. 

They knew about the import bugs, however.  It's in the readme.  I just hope that they are trying to fix this.  I am spamming this everywhere, hoping it gets attention, but yeh, I dunno.

And yes, it IS nice knowing that he does become faithful.  And also, the big controversy over whether Zevran's US epilogue, whether he is celibate or even more promiscuous, is answered -- he never touches anyone again  It's sad.  But he never moves on!  Bleh, that is depressing

*hugs Charsen* It's so good to see you. I'm not worried at all about weather or not I ever get to use those mods, just wanted to keep in touch with you. I'm really sorry to hear you've had to have surgery. I hope your recovery from whatever happened is swift. When you're feeling better, I'd love to exchange some contact info outside of this forum, weather it be social networking websites or otherwise. Your presence has been missed.

Also, I'm glad to hear of CZ! He's been away from here for so long! How's he doing? It's the dumbest thing, I couldn't remember his name, just the default icon he had for so long, and the face of his favorite Warden. XD But his absence has been felt, too.

And yay for more lj friends. I'll try to find you guys on there very soon! I have the same problem with not updating there much, but one more way to stay in touch, and it might make me want to update more myself. Facebook is great for keeping in touch, and I'd love to friend any of you when/if you do get a facebook account, but LJ really is better for more in-depth updates and sharing fanworks and such. a bit more private and slow paced.

I'm so glad to hear that Zev wasn't cheating on the Warden. I really need to send David Gaider a message of appreciation and encouragement. While I'm disappointed with a lot of things about the new game, and how the devs are sometimes resorting to scapegoating 4chan as the source of fandom backlash (which is silly), I can only imagine how incredibly frustrating it must be for them to have only had one year to try to create an 'epic' game within new parameters and everything.

I wonder how much of the shots were being called by EA... the shifting of focus completely from PC to console is very frustrating to me. The riddlin kids get what they want, more of what they already have in other games, call us names and make fun of us if we express displeasure, and we get called the trolls. *shakes head* I'm just asking that the price for the PC version be dropped to a more reasonable level considering it's weaknesses and that the modders get an updated tool set so that the PC version can evolve into something more servicable. Then I'd honestly bump it up quite a bit on my list of priorities. If the devs actually FIX stuff and make post-release improvements, I'll be grateful and give them the credit they would deserve. I hope they aren't forced into deving the next game already, dumping the dlc and patch work on B and C teams who didn't write the characters. I hope they learned from what people had to say about Origins DLCs and unfixed bugs.

OK, really babbling right now. And I LOVE that screen cap of Zev top of the page. DAMN he looks good when he's angry. Sexy sexy BAMF elf.

/blush and you both *sigh* I've been messing with flags, trying to get this dialog to trigger. The first three I posted I think he says to Isabela. The second two, to Hawke if he/she propositions him. Dammit, if I can get his working, I will post directions on how to edit save files until someone who is far better than i am at this kind of thing actually gets a working mod together! Or the toolset comes out. Either works for me.

I'm not sure if this has been posted here, but there's a fix for the companion romance flags. I tested it for Leliana and it worked without the need to start a new playthrough or anything.

I've poked at this, although I had to use the console to get my Hawke to that part of the game. XD;  It looks like, at the moment, the romance flags are working... but .. (spoilers, highlight to read)

Zevran leaves Hawke after the Crow fight without any offer of sex.  If isabela is in the party, she propositions him, and he refuses with a mourning answer.  But my Warden is still alive, and the console confirms that...

Seems like there's still a bug or two in play. ;P Closer, though!

but this does mean that by the time I get the game by midish/late next month this issue should be fixed. and I can have my Zev squee as intended. (except I still have to get over how he looks)

Oh, the new mod isn't mine, but it's awesome. I just started a new game to check it out. If he's seeing the warden as dead, though, that does sound like a dialog issue. Though who knows. Looking for the console command to get to that point... Lalalalala Looking for a list of commands now (I'm so bad).

It is lovely that people have found the dialogue, too much to hope BioWare will fix it though, I suppose. Although there are so many bugs they should be working furiously on patches for all formats......... 
I have had lots of freezing on PS3 and I know before I get to the end that there are buggy issues on 360 (daughter's BF had real trouble with the finale...... Characters went all white and weird and there were floating swords where templars should be ) 
Anyway, you never know your luck in a big city, eh, and they may fix the import issue across the board or there was no point importing in the first place <_<

I love Fenris. LOVE him. God. I just have a thing for elves with sexy voices I guess. I think that Fenris may be one of my favorite ones of yours yet. And that is saying a lot.

Hahaha, thanks~ it's making my current Tannusen WIP look a bit blah, unfortunately. But there's not much to do about it, since it's a completely different kind of picture. Tannu's is a pinup-type thing, whereas Fenris' is supposed to be a character portrait.

That picture is going to be named In Vino Veritas (commonly-used latin phrase for "In wine, truth".) Without spoiling much about Fenris for folks in this thread, he's something of an amnesiac and is shown with wine a lot when you visit him for cutscenes at his house. So it seemed like a good character-shot type thing to do of him. :3

And also, HI CHARSEN! I've been away from DT again too, playing hooky I guess. Shh.

Just an FYI, I had a save very close to Zevran in DA2, and while I got an additional line of dialog that did acknowledge the warden, all was not great (he still propositioned Hawke). This could be because it wasn't imported from the start (so maybe an issue there) or it could be caused by a dialog bug.

As sad as he sounded when he said the line, I'm thinking dialog bug.

As you should be! The lacings of the shirt are just perfect, even the details on the gauntlet and the overall pose (don't ask me why but I like a lot the right leg). I had just the impression that the index finger is slightly too abruptly "curved" to the right (following the curve of the other fingers), but whatever, I'm not a pro, and no one will care. Not even me to be honest, I think it gives a nice touch of movement to the image.

Nice choice for the tile too, we still use that latin phrase in italian 

I'm going to try the mod with my save, even though I have the feeling it will say my Warden is dead >.<

More or less the same result, if not the same I guess.
As I said, the console considers my Warden dead ( tough the Warden in Awakening isn't Orlesian...so yeah, whatever...). With the mod I could trigger in the first dialogue a new line (highlight spoilers): "Ah, as wise as you are breathtaking. You remind me of...a very dear friend". Still at the end he propositioned as always, no other changes. If Isabela tried to ask him tough, he refused with this answer: "The memories are a little too fresh, dear woman. Another time."
I think it is still buggy, but my save had even other issues aside the romance flag, so maybe someone with a more clear import could extract better results.

I tried with Isabela in the party -- definitely dead warden (at least he turned her down). But my warden was most definitely alive. I think I may actually try with a Queen CousCous import that went through to the end of Witch Hunt. My guess, though, is that won't make a difference. The problem seems to be with the dialog, not with the flags.

Nah, the finger's fine, I drew his hands without the gauntlets first and then drew the plated segments over them specifically to avoid breaking any joints and such. :3 If the finger inside ain't broken, the armor is alright. XD



Re bugs: Oh goddamnit, poor Zevran is always bugged so badly and it's always in ways that give blah impressions of him. Gates dialogue tree, anyone?

I mean, I don't care if he's poly in Tannusen's import, for example, but I can only imagine if someone imports a US romanced Warden, seeing him wander off with someone else like nothing ever happened...

Yeah, what makes me sad is exactly the "blah impression" these bugs give him. It's not fair that we have to go in a sort of holy quest to discover that indeed he is not like that, that indeed even the writer (Mr. Gaider again, I suppose) didn't think him like this...but still, for a bug or another, the "blah impression" is what most of the people get.

DG has repeatedly said he loves Zevran -- I believe it.  Zevran great dialog, and horrible bugs everywhere.  I started a(nother) whine thread about it in the DA2 forums.  Hopefully it's not TOO ignored!

Hi guys! I've been scarce in the forums lately, but I just missed you guys so I thought I'd come by and say hello. *waves* And, to keep my post on topic, I'll share my little Zev squee moment from DA2.

I was okay with his cameo, but I was playing with a non-Zev romance import, so his flirting didn't bother me. However, I will say I was VERY impressed they had Anders, my LI for that run, show signs of jealousy -- that pleased me to NO end.

But, the thing that just stole my heart was fighting the final battle and hearing his battle cries! I actually screamed with delight as I paused my game and looked all around the screen for him. When I found him, I screamed for a second time! It just felt sooooooooo good to get to see him fight again.

Ho there, Zevran thread. I haven't posted here before (or anywhere on the social forums, for that matter) but I did recently write a Zevran-centric oneshot, so I thought I would share it with you. The fic is called Regarding Blood Mages, and it features a female Amell.

I love Zevran, and even though he looked  a little wonky as a DA2 elf, it was still nice to see him. Plus, Fenris getting all protective on my behalf was quite nice, too.
