Prompt: Vengeance

Anything
from Zevran getting back at somebody for a bad joke to him trying to
take down some shadowy villain who somehow managed to kill all the other
companions and the Warden (and, of course, anything in between). Or,
alternately, the vengeance being exacted on him. Go wild!

I doubt anyone would fuss over how it got submitted, but *cringe* that prompt closed last week, with jenovan as the winner and elenilote as the next prompter. But I'm sure jenovan can add it to the list of submissions for the prompt - this isn't the first time we've had late, awesome entries inspired by prompts, and I believe they're generally indexed on the front page with the other entries.

That kinda brings up a point of procedure, though, that I don't think has come up before.  ^^;  I think, with the time constraint, it's kind of implied that the entries are new things intended for the specific contest.  I've been in photography groups where that's an actual stated rule, that the entries are new photographs taken for the contest.  Is this a point we need or want to address?  (And while I'm thinking of it, maybe I should put our general procedures up on the front page, too...)  


@Tell, lulz.  The Chasind robes are so little material anyway... maybe they'd fit in a slightly different configuration...

Hrm. I've always assumed it was the case... I think I've resubmitted old stuff as non-entries once or twice, because being an excerpt from a longer, already-written thing, I had no idea how long it had taken.

But to be honest, I don't think this is quite so srsbzns that I'd much mind if someone reposted something, on their word that they're sure it only took about (time) to do. We're already on word-of-honor to stick to the time limits, and it's not like money is on the line or anything.

I would have thought that with the art coming about as a result of the 'prompt' that they would all be new...so long as they're within the time constraint though, I suppose it doesn't matter? It's all just for fun, after all.

your photoshopping is very impressive, for what it's worth, i think it's really cool work.

i am still have some difficulty but i've come a long way. but CZ has been taking care of me very well. in fact, we were just talking about those old zevrinjection fridays from last year and how hilarious they were. CZ sends thoughts of poorly shopped zevran-heads on thinly veiled prono pics... my sweet english muffin. =P

how's everything with you and the rest of the old zevthread? mostly moved on to whats-his-face from DA2 i assume?

I'm wrapping up an AU with what's-his-face (couldn't resist; it's a sequel to another AU of mine) but then I'm back to the DAO crowd, I think. I haven't even managed to finish a second DA2 playthrough, and I don't think I really got the character voices down well after just one time through.

Prompt: Alternate Universe - Reverse Roles

Zevran Arainai is the one Duncan recruited to be a Grey Warden alongside Alistair. Your PC is the assassin hired by Howe and Loghain. Reinterpret any Origins scene with the roles of Zev and the Warden swapped around: the fateful ambush in your PC's style, Zevran giving the PC a personal gift, an old comrade/flame of the PC in Taliesen's shoes, the PC giving a 'token of affection', Morrigan's ritual...or create a new scene! Zev goes on his Calling? PC rejoins him after Awakening? Whatever you might fancy.

(Zevran can still be a (former) Crow. PC can still be any of the Origins if you think you can make it fly, but not a Crow. Let's say that for whatever reason, Howe arranged for the PC to do this job personally.)

Time Limit: 3 hours.
Deadline: Sunday, June 5th - midnight EST.
