Oh wow - thanks - I totally did think Corker had the best this week - I really luv'd her entry - Creative, spot on how I would have those 3 interact with each other and i enjoyed it from start to finish.... and I found out Poor Richard was not Shakespeare - so it was educational

Prompt order is - Bite, Klidi, Trynn, Zax I think - I have one but if it sux say so quicky and Bite can have it - I really dont care

Besides I have no prizes other than to write and since we are all writers it seems kinda random O.o

Hurrah, I’m home and have internet access! Congrats, Tryyn I do have a half finished entry for tklivory’s prompt... but had no internet with which to post it, anyway, so didn’t get it done. Still, I do mean to get it complete! This may be the first time I’ve missed getting a competitive entry into the contest since I started entering, but I still mean try and get something done to fit them all. Because I’m obsessive like that, hah.

Goodly burgeors of the Zev thread! Sorry if this in any way uppity of me- but I’ve been thinking about the prompt contest, and I wonder if it mightn’t be a bad idea if we a) put up some kind of explanation of the rules and general formalities of the contest on the front page of the thread and advertised, or again, at least stated on the front page that we still have DLC to offer as a prize?

I’m just wondering whether either of those might help attract or encourage new people to take part. It’s a lot easier to jump in when you’re sure what the set up is, than tentatively step forward and hope you don’t get anything wrong. I mean, just from my experience, I was pretty clear on the general lay of things, having browsed a few pages of old entries, but was still unsure about how the next prompt-setter was decided. And free DLC is just a nice incentive for any would be entrants. Either might tempt lurkers and people who never quite get round to entering into actually doing so, I suppose.

So, what do you guys think? Good idea? Bad idea? Would any of that actually work or serve any kind of useful purpose?

Oooh, that sounds like a fun prompt! I shall have to think on what to do...so many possibilities! =D
(*tries to imagine the devilish grin that Rima would wear if Zev became Zevranna* ... Bwaha...oh, that'd be interesting.)

@Sushifer: That sounds like a really good idea to me. I think having that stuff a little more organized/spelled-out would maybe tempt others into entering. Also, I was thinking that maybe it would be possible to, for the duration of the DLC codes being given out, keep a list of who's won them? So that the prompters can try to pick people to win who haven't won it already, and all. I mean, I know that theoretically the list on the front page would serve that purpose, but I don't think it's been updated to that point yet, so.
But yeah, I think spelling out the rules and so on and so forth of the prompt contests would maybe encourage more new people to enter. And that way if anyone pops in and asks, "So what's going on with this whole prompt thing?" then we can just be like, "Oh, there's some handy guidelines and stuff on the front page; check it out!"
Also can't wait to read your entry.

She is a Dalish Elf - slight build - blonde hair - no face tattoo LOL

As for scene - she is not kinky she does not understand many aspects of extreme bedroom sports - so nothing like that...

This I gotta see *snickers*

Glad you guys like the prompt - I thought the comedy part might scare you off.

Judging will go by your LOLz score  so dont get too bogged down by other stuff - go for the laffs - I laugh easily so it wont be hard

Decided to start on shading Zev's armor, first, since his pose is the probably going to be the worst one to shade of the three. Light source is the huge glyph of Warding on the ground.

Not sure if I like it or not, but I've been staring at the shading all damn day, so that's probably part of my problem. 

And yes, that is an "Architect" fill in one of those open office documents. I SAID I WOULD SOMEDAY. Loooool, Tannu.

...You know you can have the Vista or even the XP version of Paint on Windows 7, right?

IMO Vista is ironically the best version. XP isn't bad, and is pretty much unchanged from previous versions. 7...

7 took everything Paint did well, and that made it different from every other program out there, and took a steaming dump on it. You can tell Vista Paint was upgraded by someone who actually makes use of the program, and 7's was done by someone who sneered at the program and went "You know what would make this program less 'bad'? FEATHERING. Oh and let's ditch the UI entirely. But mostly, FEATHERING. SOFT BLURRY PIXELS FOR EVERYONE!"

And that's how Aro learned what true rage is.

actually I like the new elves faces not their bodies - they remind me of aliens...  just still not used to Zevran face/body/look bleh  - FENRIS will be my LI I think when i get around to buying it...lt is still $89 AUS 2ndhand

Yeah, but MS Paint was my one and only art program for years. In the face of 99% of the internet telling me to try photoshop, gimp, paint.net, etc all the damn time. Unsolicited advice, being told my program was horrible, being praised for earlier art only because it was done in Paint, not because it was any good on its own, etc.

Hell, everything in my signature is Paint. And they bent it over, took it in the arse, skinned it, skull****ed it, spray painted the remains with 'photoshop rulez' and then put it on my doorstep. It was so offensive when I first opened the program that I came within an inch of going back to windows Vista.

So. Yeah.

I know why they ruined Paint. Because 99.99% of people never use it. Well, now most of the 1% that did have hacked their own OS in order to keep using the old version, while the rest of the 99% still don't use it anyway because there are free (or pirateable) programs that do feathered blurry crap better. Paint has always excelled at sharp, detailed pixel work. So they got rid of that.

It goes to a little more than tweaking the UI or whatever. And it's actually a pretty big topic for me, as a dedicated MS Paint master.

Anyway, I said I didn't want to rant, and I don't. Anger makes me sicker, and this is a topic that actually really riles me up. I can't afford to have my immune system punching holes in me all day and putting me out of commission for writing for months as a result.

Edit: I'm not mad at you, just at the subject. And I really, really don't want to rant further on it. I'm incurably ill and can't afford to let myself rage. :/

No kidding. I still don't own DA2, myself. Can't even post in the DA2 forums, etc. I borrowed it. 

I may not end up buying it for real until if/when they release a toolset update for it, or it gets sold bundled with its DLCs for cheap when DA3 comes out, lol.
