I bought DA2 when they were doing that "Buy DA2, get ME2 free" thing but I didn't figure out how the heck I was supposed to go about getting ME2 until it was too late. -_- (I thought they'd...oh, send me an email telling me how or...something. Now I feel kind of silly for not figuring it out. But. Ah well.)

Edit:
Don't really have any good screencaps...this sort of silly/cute one will have to do.

I haven't bought DA2 either, yet, but I bought ME2 for like $7 on a Steam sale (and...haven't played it yet...)

Now to derail slightly, who was it that started the whole haiku thing here?  Now I've started doing it in other places in the forum!  Aaargh!

@ Bite - Hey, he's Zevran.  He can take it, he's just... cool like that.

Hey guys, sorry for not updating the front page for a bit -- life is kind of nutso at the moment, has been for a few weeks, and probably won't be better until late next week. Hopefully. Putting the prompt process guidelines on the front page sounds like a good idea -- I can at least write that up while I can't post on the forum at work...

Same goes with mentioning the prize, since the current prompt is supposed to be up there, too. >_>;

(Although I'd be interested with data about how often new people and current threadgoers visit the front page of a thread. XD This crossed my mind before -- with forums providing "most recent post" links, I wonder how many folks actually go to the first page first...)

Anyway, be back in a few-ish days, hopefully with updated front page in tow. :o Happy prompting!

Haha, okay, I'm clearly in too silly a mood. This is what popped into my head when I read that. (Observe my horrifyingly awful drawing-on-computer skills!) --

I did when I first came to thread but was hit with an overload of data and hit the >>> button to go to end of thread *gryz*

I suggest maybe including the guidelines in the actual prompt format - and I was going to suggest maybe every now and then posting an invite in the Community Creations thread or something - maybe that goes against guidelines...Posted Image

@jen - I don't check the front page all the time, but it's great when I want to find old prompts :)

@ Tryynity - well, I finished your prize drawing.  It turned out... really different than I thought.  Will you mind that it isn't a stick figure drawing? Posted Image  I mean I could do a stick figure drawing, if you really wanted it...
Also, how do I 'give' you the prize?  post it to the thread, or what?

The discussion of POV and tense a couple of days ago awoke my writing bug, and I wrote a short exercise that took the same story, but used different combinations of first/second/third person and past/present tense.  It is a Zevran story, and the discussion that sparked the exercise took place here, so I thought I'd share it with ya'll.

If you're curious, here it is: An Exercise in Perspective.  Oddly enough, the title works for the nature of the exercise and also for the content of the story itself.

Someday, I will write a future tense story with Zevran, but it didn't work for this story...  *think think think*

If you happen to read it, please let me know what you think... Thanks!:)

Oh, something to read. :) Mmm, 15 months you needed. I think i'll need another 2-3 months until i may "complete" my story.

So far i really have no good idea for this week's prompt.

@jen I don’t mind writing out the guidelines, if you’re too busy! It was my suggestion, after all. Then again, you’re probably more familiar with them than me... and I suppose I can’t change the front page, so... maybe not such a good idea >_<

@kornichon Very, ahem, nice. Now where did I put that half-finished streaking Zevran picture I’d begun?

@Bite, that is strangely awesome. It would make an excellent reaction image, I think.

@Sialater Oh, congrats on finishing it! Didn’t you say you were planning a sequel? I’m nervous enough about started my longform fic- I can’t imagine how weird it’ll be when it nears completion.

@Tklivory

Guilty hand raises.
Instigator of Haiku-
That would be myself.

Prize picture is awesome!
Oh, help, you’ve started me off
Trapped again in verse.

Though, it was Zaxarus’s poetry prompt that started the whole thing- yes, blame it all on hiiiiiim- *runs away*

I can stand the blame.
My hide is thick, my shoulders sagging, my eyes are old and broken ..
oh, wrong film.

But don't forget: always look on the bright side of life.

Zaxares: It was actually longer. The ff.net version is the second version. So.. 18 months?

Sushifer: I am. A semi-novelization of DA2 with a few characters from The Rescue intruding.

Interesting. I plan this too. I included a meeting of the DAO group with the Hawke Family in Lothering and at least 2 DAO-chars (in add to Zev/Lel) will reappear in my Kirkwall-story.
