@Tryynity: Yeah, I know. That's why I joined that group. One story per week is fine, but my main story, Failed to Fail requires bit more effort - the chapters there are approx 6k. That already is a great commitment for me. My oneshots tend to get shorter and shorter. ^^ Another Halloween story - with creepy Leliana - is only 299 words. :)
So nothing for NaNoWriMo - which is pity, because I have one very good idea for it all ready. Next year, I hope.

I know, I've been thinking about doing NaNoWriMo too...I tried it twice, several years ago, but never lasted more than a week. I think I could manage better now...but I'm not sure, since so much school stuff has been sucking my life up lately. And I need time to draw as well...yeah, maybe not. XD

I'll come up with a prompt, then, and hopefully at least a few people will have the time for it. :) Hopefully will have it up within the next few hours!

Awesome - I promise Ill submit something - maybe another one of my brilliant FanArt pieces - that only took me a little time and it was fun to do something not seriously LOL

I could have submitted last weeks - doodle in my own prompt as a non-entry - Titled "Ridiculously Unawesome Zevran"

@ Corker I filled my first KMeme the other night - does it automatically mark the UNfilled post as filled or do I have to notify someone?

The ineffably beautiful Porn Elves arrive in the night to keep the archive up-to-date.  Instead of a saucer of milk, we leave them porn; hence the name.

(Actually, we have one awesome dedicated archivist who gets notified about -every single post- who does the heavy lifting.  Because this one person does all the work, it may take a little time for your tags to be updated.  If it hasn't happened in 2-3 days, drop a line in the FAQ thread.)

LOL I am wanting to use my new Kink Journal to fullfill my NANO thingy but then my anon goes out the window - I need the security of a bag on my head as I remove my clothes for all the world to see - thats what it feels like LOL its actually quite awesomely liberating being able to write the exact word/phrase I want to without feeling I have to censor it in someway for some reason or another.

*giggles*

oh and seconded on the Porn Elves - I love all elves Porn or otherwise  - as long as they arent that DA2 kind  (exception Merrill & Fenris)

Lost
Surely sometime in his many adventures Zevran has managed to get lost. Did he take a wrong turn on the way to a mark? Does his favorite Warden happen to be truly awful with reading maps? Or perhaps, geographical navigation aside, it’s Zevran’s emotional compass leading him astray…

Medium: Anything you please! Writing, drawing...paper mache...?
Time: 3 hours (Longer for paper mache, of course. ;) Let us make arrangements if that is your chosen medium.)
Prize: I’ll draw you something Zev-related. :3 (Or, if you reeeeally want, write you something Zev-related.)
Deadline: Tuesday, Nov. 8, 11pm CST (I thiiiink this is Wednesday at 5am GMT...)

Nice new prompt. I hope this week i'll have enough time.

I try to write 5 days a week 1 chapter each around 1500-2000 words. I like short chapters around 1 browser screen. More than this i haven't the time to write on workdays.
Just looked: my stormy mountain in 18 days i wrote 15 chapters with total of 22k words. I'm content if i hold this energy the next 2 months. :)
NaNoWriMo, that would be an idea, but this month i'll do a 9-days-journey.

9 days of culture (bookshops, museums, opera), eating (african, indian and japanese restaurants are already planned, perhaps australian too) and drinking (the friend i visit lives in a street with half a dozen cocktail bars). Afterwards i'll surely need some working-weeks for recovery. :)

mmm, i just realize anew that it is a bit odd to be no difference between male and female friends in english.

@Zaxarus: Thanks! I hope so too. ^^

I used to write more often but over the past few months have been in a span where I've sort of stopped working on an in-progress fic for a different fandom and worked on ideas and scenes and such for this fic about Rima (and Zev) that will hopefully get going soon, so the going has been much slower and of course none of it is being posted anywhere (yet). Maybe after that's all sorted out I can resume writing on a more regular basis. (For a while I'd been getting two or even three 1500+ word chapters out a week.) In the meantime I've been trying to work on the prompts here to keep up with some writing, and it helps that I'm taking a creative writing class this semester.

That 9-days-journey thing sounds like a really neat idea! I'm sure it'll be a great deal of fun. :3

And I hadn't thought of that language difference...it must be very strange!

On the other hand in my language there is no difference between friend (fem.) and girl-friend. In this way english is more precise.
This "5-chapters-a-week"-thing is also my try to have daily practice. i feel a bit like being back at school. :)

@Zaxarus: Well, do you mean girl-friend (which would just be a female friend) or girlfriend? Surely there's some word for a female significant other? Unless there's some other nuance-y bit I'm not picking up, hah. Like if I say "I'm hanging out with my girlfriends" -- well, people will assume I mean my female friends, girl-friends, since I'm a female. But if I'm hanging out with a guy who's not my boyfriend and I want to specify that he's a male, I'll say I'm hanging out with a guy-friend. If I'm hanging out with my male significant other, it'll be my boyfriend. I guess if I were in a relationship with a female and I said "girlfriend" then people would have to either assume I meant one or the other, or ask. XD Or I'd come up with a different way to say one or the other..."gal-friends"?

It does sound like it'd be good practice. Next semester is my last semester of undergrad...because I'm finishing my last two requirements but have to take a minimum number of credits per semester, I have the chance to drawing class and a writing class, and I'm thinking I will since I don't know when I'll get a chance to otherwise...but it's a bit nerve-wracking! Can I even do an art class after spending four years steeped in physics and math classes? How out of place am I going to be in the fiction-writing class? Eep! </ramble ramble ramble> (But either way, I'm sure it'll be refreshing to be required to do those things, rather than make excuses for why I don't have enough time for them. Hah. I admire your ability to keep yourself writing regularly like that!)

@Bite
Now you confuse me. :)
I knew only:
- friend: may be male or female, meaning comrades/platonic friends
- girl-friend: female not so platonic friend :)
mmm, guy-friend, i never heard that. Gal-friend, i like that.

I studied industrial-engineer, main subject business-economics and mechanical-engineering.
But i had to do courses in sports and english too and chose from something called "history-social-share". It was meant to broaden our knowledge base to something totaly other.
So i had courses in "communication in 19th century" and "drug counseling".
Oh, and i had courses in didactics too, always amusing me afterwards to see how many of my Profs obviously never had these themself.

Such a writing class would be perfect for me i think, but more the "enhance your english writing". I always wonder how many failures i do.

Hach, studies. Nice times. 22y to go until my next study.

Ugh. NaNo. Don't remind me. I never participate. I'm always already in the middle of a novel when it rolls around. (I write around 500 words a night at home in about the span of 2 hours. I write the fics at work.)

My current novel is in revisions and I hope to send to a friend soon.

That's an interesting prompt. I'll try running it up the lamppost and see if I the muse throws anything at it.

@Zaxarus: Ha! Sorry about that. Yeah, what you have is correct; I'm just used to seeing the second one as one word, "girlfriend." I don't know what I was thinking. XD
Ha! Wow, that's neat. This "history-social-share" sounds like it could be extremely interesting!
Really, your English isn't that bad -- it's obvious it's not your first language, though, but of course English is just plain weird, so I can't blame you. XD It's generally pretty clear what you're saying even if some of the phrasing is not standard. (For instance, "I always wonder how many failures I do" -- would probably be said more clearly like... "I always wonder how many errors/mistakes I make" or something along those lines. Unless you meant more like, "I always wonder how many times I fail to say what I meant to." But, in any case, it's still pretty obvious what you meant to say.)

@Sialater: Ooh, I hope so! =D (And wow! That's so cool! "In the middle of [writing] a novel" is a phrase I dream of one day being able to use. XD Ha.)

(Not an entry)

"Hey, Zev!  I got an idea."

"Tsk.  Defeat an ash wraith?  This I have done many times over.  Why would it be worthy of a tale?"

"No, no, not an ash wraith.  A Smoke Monster!"
